    Abstract: A thermostatic mixer device for sanitary appliances, includes: a cartridge envelope; a distributor bottom member with intake openings for cold and hot water, a delivery opening for mixed water, and elements for controlling and intercepting the delivered flow rate; a mixing member located inside the envelope, forming a cylinder, control openings and passageways for directing hot water and cold water from the intake openings to the respective control openings; a distribution slide valve, sealingly sliding in the axial direction within the cylinder of the mixing member, and cooperating with the control openings in order to partially shut the control openings in opposite senses; a thermometric element for displacing the distributing slide valve against the action of a return spring; and control elements for establishing the temperature desired for the delivered mixed water.

    Abstract: A fixed plate of hard material for a hydraulic valve, of the type, mainly used in the socalled screw type faucets, which has a passage opening asymmetrically located with respect to the center of the plate, and has, on the lapped working face, a surface portion opposite the passage opening with respect to the plate center, which is situated at the same level as the surface portion surrounding the passage opening, and has another surface portion which is recessed; this recessed surface portion is open towards the periphery of the plate. Preferably the recessed portion of the plate working face is limited, with respect to the non recessed portion, by rims which, at least in part, are not concentric with respect to the geometrical center of the plate, and more preferably these rims are directed substantially radially with respect to the geometrical center of the plate.

    Abstract: A pair of plates of a hard material (a socalled ceramic material or the like), intended to form the members for flow control of a faucet of the socalled screw type, and having an extended control field, wherein at least one of the sides which define the passage opening of at least one of the plates of the pair has substantially the shape of an arc of linear spiral (Archimedes' spiral), and the end portion having the smaller width of the passage opening defined by this arc of linear spiral is located near the plate periphery. The stated shape like an arc of linear spiral may be chosen for one side of the passage opening of one plate only, or even for one side of the passage openings of both plates, but in this latter case it is needed that the two spirals have a different slope. By means of this pair of plates it is possible to obtain control angles extending in the field from 1/2 turn and 3/4 of a turn, for example angles of 230.degree. or 270.degree..

    Abstract: A single handle mixer valve with hard material plates, wherein a fixed member forming a delivery connection for mixed water projects up to the level of the movable plate of the valve, whose cavity forming the duct for water passage encircles the delivery connection by engaging the same, in order to offer a guide for the swinging displacements of the movable plate, while the delivery connection acts as a fulcrum therefor. The cavity of the plate may be blind or it may tranverse right through the plate, which in this latter case sealingly cooperates with a control head which closes the cavity. Preferably the delivery connection is a part of a supporting member for the fixed plate of the valve; a member of a wear resistant material having a low friction coefficient is inserted within the cavity of the movable plate; and some portions of this latter member, the control head or the movable plate itself are shaped so as to exert a preclosure action.
