Abstract: A device and display for demonstrating glare reduction by a polarized lens includes an array of vertically spaced-apart, parallel, transparent elements. Rays of light polarized in a first dimension are directed onto the array from above. An indicium is positioned behind the array. A reflective surface is positioned adjacent a bottom of the array. A polarized lens having a polarization opposed to the first dimension is interposable between a viewer's eye and the array. In use, rays from the polarized light source impinge upon the array, partially pass to the reflective surface and are partially reflected onto the indicium via glare off the array. Rays reflected by the reflective surface are reflected by the array via glare toward the viewer's eye, and rays reflected by the indicium pass thorough the array toward the viewer's eye. An interposition of the polarized lens shields the viewer's eye from the glare.

Abstract: A construction for sunglasses adapted to be fitted over prescription eyewear having conventional nose pads and eyeglass temples comprises a lens frame having lens rims with corresponding lenses supported therein, a bridge between the lens rims and right and left temples extending rearwardly from corresponding pivots with the lens frame. The lens frame is free of any rearwardly-extending panels along the lower portion of the lens rims in order to avoid interference with the prescription eyewear, the bridge is designed with a nose-encircling edge permitting the sunglasses-prescription eyewear combination to be supported by the nose-pads of the eyewear, and the temples of the sunglasses include concavities adapted to receive the temples of the prescription eyewear, all to insure a more comfortable fit of the sunglasses over the prescription eyewear.

Abstract: A display stand for presenting consumer merchandise and which permits flexibility in the stocking and the aesthetic appearance of the merchandise includes at least one pair of elongated corner members which extend along a substantial portion of the vertical dimension of the stand, with each pair of corner members positioned and dimensioned to slidably receive vertically-extending and parallel first and second panels which may be used to control the appearance of the display, present different types of merchandise as seasonally required or change the graphics or appearance of the display.

Abstract: Decorative glitter is embedded in at least a portion of lens used for eyewear, and is particularly suited for use as sunglasses. The glitter may be dispersed throughout the lens, through only a portion of the lens, or in a decorative pattern or verbal message in the lens. When used with sunglasses, the glitter may be dispersed in side lens associated with the sunglasses.
