  • Patent number: 12031286
Abstract: A portable cofferdam system for isolating a working area from water such as a culvert. The portable cofferdam system generally includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall each having an interior side, an exterior side, an upper edge, a lower edge and a rear edge. A middle wall is connected to the sidewalls opposite of the rear edges of the sidewalls forming a substantially U-shaped structure. An opening formed between the rear edges of the first sidewall and the second sidewall to allow for positioning about or near the inlet of an object or area to be kept dry such as the inlet of a culvert.

  • Patent number: 11898684
Abstract: A CIPP liner reel system for managing the utilization and deployment of CIPP liners. The CIPP liner reel system generally includes a frame connected to a reel and drive unit. The drive unit is connected to the reel to control the rotation of its core. This core contains an opening that provides access to a connector unit within the core. This connector unit can be used to connect the reel to the end of a CIPP liner using a strap. Rotation of the core causes CIPP liner to wind on to or unwind from the reel. The reel may also contain a left guide member and a right guide member to assist in controlling the process of winding and unwinding the CIPP liner. The frame may also include a tractor connector that enables the CIPP liner reel system to be coupled to and transported by a tractor without affecting its operation.

  • Patent number: 11242665
Abstract: A system for assembling a cofferdam. In a first example embodiment, a cofferdam may be assembled on-site using a plurality of walls that couple each other to form the cofferdam. In a second example embodiment, a plurality of walls and a plurality of connectors may be assembled to form the cofferdam. The walls and/or connectors disassembled for transport and/or storage, yet quickly assembled on-site to form the cofferdam. The panels and/or the connectors may form cofferdams of various shapes and sizes. The walls and/or connectors are made of a durable material that permits multiple uses. The cofferdam may be assembled to hold back the water of a body of water from around a culvert while work or repairs are performed.

  • Patent number: 9828739
Abstract: The disclosure describes, in part, battered composite piles arranged in-line with angled legs of a tower (e.g., lattice tower). The number of battered composite piles may be equal to the number of angled tower legs of the tower, and each of the battered composite piles may attach to a respective angled tower leg and may have batter angles at angles that match an angle of the angled legs of the tower. These battered composite piles are loaded predominantly axially rather than in shear and, thus, the piles may be designed to be much smaller in size while still meeting safety requirements. In addition, the piles may be installed in less time and at a lower cost than compression/lift and shear loaded foundations.

  • Patent number: 9290901
Abstract: The disclosure describes, in part, apparatuses and methods for installing structures (e.g., foundations, footings, anchors, abutments, etc.) at work sites, such as difficult-access work sites. In some instances, a rotating drill assembly is assembled over a target location in order to excavate a radial array of batter-angled shafts associated with the target location in preparation for the installation of a radial array of micropiles. An operator utilizes the rotating drill in combination with a foundation pile schedule/decision matrix to design and install the radial array of batter-angled micropiles. This disclosure also describes techniques for designing, fabricating and installing structural caps to be coupled to the installed radial array batter angled micropiles. These structural caps are lightweight and, thus, more portable to difficult-access sites where they are coupled to the micropiles forming a foundation for structure to be installed at the difficult-access site.
