Abstract: A roof rack for a motor vehicle has at least one roof rack bar extending along the roof of the motor vehicle. The roof rack bar is a longitudinally divided roof rack bar and is made of a plurality of individual bars which are fixed to each other. Furthermore, the invention relates to a motor vehicle having a roof rack, and to a method for the production of the roof rack.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns a process for producing a sol-gel coating on a surface of a component made of aluminum or of an aluminum alloy that is to be coated, comprising the following steps: anodization of the surface through the application of an electrical voltage over a particular time period so as to form an anodized layer on the surface; and deposition of a sol-gel coating on the surface. In doing so, the voltage applied for purposes of anodizing is, by way of a particular potential gradient, continuously increased in the direction of a holding voltage that is maintained throughout the rest of the anodization time, in particular up to the holding voltage. The disclosure furthermore concerns a component made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy.

Abstract: A method for treating the surface of aluminum components or components comprising aluminum includes anodizing the surface. Anodizing includes introducing at least one pigmenting substance, particularly fully pigmenting substance, into depressions or pores open toward the surface of a comb or pore structure of the surface created by the anodizing process, and/or introducing oxidizable substances into depressions or pores open toward the surface of a comb or pore structure of the surface created by the anodizing process and oxidizing these substances. The method further includes applying a ceramic thin-film coating or siliceous sol-gel coating onto the surface. The ceramic thin-film coating or the sol-gel coating comprises a pigment particularly serving refraction purposes.
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle component, particularly a motor vehicle attachment part, preferably a motor vehicle exterior component, particularly preferred a motor vehicle trim component, made of anodized aluminum or an anodized aluminum alloy. The motor vehicle component is provided—at least partially—with a sol-gel coating. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle comprising a corresponding motor vehicle component.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cover for an exterior motor vehicle part, particularly a motor vehicle door, comprising at least one carrier part and one cover part. It is provided that the cover part (20) is associated with a cover element, particularly a metal cover, overlaying the same.
Abstract: The invention refers to a spacing device for bridging a gap between a carrier part and a roof body and intended for fastening a roof rack, roof rail, roof strip or the like on a vehicle roof, with a support part and a counter-support part, the support part and the counter-support part being held together by a screw connection and being displaceable relative to one another to allow the adjustment of the bridging length, the support part and/or counter-support part being provided with an internally disposed adjustment tool-gripping seat intended for the manipulation and/or adjustment of the bridging length.
