Abstract: A bicycle speed change operation assembly (A) of the present invention has a rotatable operation member (2) and is connected to a speed change device of the bicycle via a control cable (C), wherein the assembly includes a first link (3) and a second link (4). An end (3b) of the first link (3) and an end (4b) of the second link are connected for relative pivotal movement. The other end (3a) of the first link 3 is supported so as to be moved circumferentially of the operation member (2) upon rotation thereof. The other end (4a) of the second link (4) is pivotally supported at a fixed point, and an end of the control cable (C) is connected to the second link (4).
Abstract: A bicycle speed change operation device includes a built-in stepwise positioning mechanism which is capable of setting an appropriate overshift for each speed step. The speed change operation device includes a support member, an operation member supported for rotation about an axis of the support member and operated to pull and pay out one end of a cable, an engaging member provided on one of the support member and the operation member, and a positioning member (7) provided on the other of the support member and the operation member and having plural engaging portions (72a-72c). The engaging member successively comes into elastic positioning engagement with the plural engaging portions (72a-72c) upon rotation of the operation member. The positioning member (7) is divided into plural parts (7a, 7b), and the plural engaging portions (72a-72c) are divided into plural groups each carried by a divided part of the positioning member.
Abstract: A wheel for light vehicles and a disc member used therein. The wheel comprising a hub, a rim and a pair of disc members detachably coupled with the hub and the rim, wherein the wheel has the advantage of a spoke wheel that it is lightweight and has sufficient strength as well as the advantage of a disc wheel that it has less air resistance when it rotates, and further the wheel can be easily repaired when it is damaged.
