Patents Assigned to Sulzer Mixpac AG
  • Patent number: 7882858
Abstract: In a device for filling dispensing appliances having a pump unit with a metering cylinder and a storage container for each component, a respective coupling arrangement (5) is provided between each storage container (2, 3) and an associated coupling of a filling station. In a preferred embodiment, the appliance coupling part (28) is arranged in an inlet nozzle (17) of the dispensing appliance (1) and the station coupling part (29) in a guide (31) in the enclosure (33) of the filling station (30). This device allows a quick and simple filling of storage containers without contaminations and air entrapment.

  • Patent number: 7841765
Abstract: The static mixer comprises mixing elements for separating material to be mixed into a plurality of streams and a mechanism for the layered junction of the same, a transversal edge and guide walls that extend at an angle to said transversal edge, as well as deflecting elements arranged at an angle to the longitudinal axis and provided with openings. The mixer includes mixing elements comprising a transversal edge and a following transversal guide wall and at least two guide walls with lateral end sections and at least one bottom section disposed between said guide walls, thereby defining at least one opening on one side of said transversal edge and at least two openings on the other side of said transversal edge. In addition to a high mixing efficiency and a low pressure drop, a mixer of this kind provides reduced dead volumes and is thus more effective than mixers of the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20100128559
Abstract: The invention relates to a tabletop device for mixing and discharging multi-component compounds, particularly a dental impression compound, having discharging plungers (8a, 8b), a motorized drive (24) for the discharging plunger (8a, 8b), a switchable coupling (30) for the coupling or decoupling of the discharging plunger (8a, 8b) to or from the motorized drive (24), and at least one handle (3a, 3b) for the displacement of the discharging plunger (8a, 8b) to be carried out manually in the decoupled state thereof. In order to minimize the design effort of such a tabletop device, the invention provides that the switchable coupling (30) comprises a coil spring (34) for the releasable frictional connection of the drive side (31) to the output side (14) of the coupling (30).

  • Publication number: 20100102088
Abstract: The dispensing assembly includes a cartridge having at least two containers and accessories. The fastening area (6) of the cartridge (1) and the fastening areas (9) of the accessories (4) are configured such that the accessories are attachable to the cartridge by plugging them on without a twisting motion and removable therefrom by twisting them one relative to another. In a further developed embodiment, the parts comprise coding elements which serve as aligning means and for preventing that the accessory is plugged onto the cartridge in the wrong orientation. An assembly of this kind allows an easy attachment and removal of an accessory such as a mixer or a closure cap and can be produced inexpensively.

  • Publication number: 20090296516
Abstract: The dynamic mixer for mixing components in different volumetric amounts comprises a rotor housing (25) in which a mixing rotor is arranged and which is closed on the inlet side by a cover (45) on which inlets for the components are arranged. The inlet (47) for the first component having the larger volumetric amount leads to an antechamber (32) that communicates with a following mixing chamber (36) by at least one passage (19). The mixing rotor (10) includes a distributor body (13) located in the antechamber for distributing the first component around the axis of rotation of the mixing rotor. The inlet (48) for the second component having the smaller volumetric amount leads to at least one inlet opening (54) located in the area of the passage to the mixing chamber transversally to the axis of rotation.

  • Publication number: 20080314929
Abstract: The dispensing device for single use includes a multicomponent cartridge (1), a mixer (8) having a mixer housing (9), as well as closure means for closing the outlets (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge. These closure means are connected to the mixer housing and comprise a respective closure stopper (13, 14) for each outlet that is insertable in an outlet (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge and is deformable such that upon rotation of the mixer housing relative to the cartridge, the closure stoppers (13, 14) are removed from the outlets (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge. Such an easily removable closure by means of deformable closure stoppers allows a very economical manufacture of dispensing devices that are intended to be used only once at it is required in medicine and in other fields.
