Patents Assigned to Sumiden Electronics, Ltd.
  • Patent number: 7337679
Abstract: A rotation sensor includes a rotation detector mounted on a holder which is in turn inserted in a casing through its opening. A cover is formed by molding a resin so as to cover the opening of the casing and the portion of the holder protruding from the opening of the casing. A pair of relay terminals extend through a base portion of the holder and a gap defined in the holder, are fixed to a support wall, and connected to respective lead pieces of the detector. A resin cover is formed by molding a resin. When forming the cover, pressure is applied to the holder, thereby causing the holder to bulge axially in the holder. This in turn pushes the relay terminals in the axial direction. But since the relay terminals are fixed to the support wall, the support wall will absorb such pushing force, thereby preventing such pushing from being transmitted to the detector. In order to more effectively absorb such pushing force, the relay terminals may be provided with bent portions in the gap.

  • Patent number: 7320258
Abstract: An attaching structure of a rotation-detecting sensor comprises (a) a rotation-transferring medium, (b) a rotation-detecting sensor having (b1) a detection portion that detects a variation in magnetic field due to the rotation of the rotation-transferring medium to convert the variation into an electric signal and (b2) a main body having a plurality of side faces, (c) a flange that is provided at at least one side face of the main body of the rotation-detecting sensor, (d) an attaching member for the rotation-detecting sensor, the attaching member having an attaching hole into which the main body is inserted, concurrently with the flange being applied to the attaching member, and (e) a resin-molded body that (e1) covers by resin molding at least one part of the flange and a part of the attaching member to embed them in it and (e2) fixes the main body of the rotation-detecting sensor to the attaching member through the flange.

  • Patent number: 7250755
Abstract: A magnetic variation sensor includes a magneto-electricity conversion element for picking up variations in magnetic fields and converting the variations picked up into electric signals. A cable is connected to the magneto-electricity conversion element. The magneto-electricity conversion element and a portion of the cable where the cable is connected to the magneto-electricity conversion element are embedded in a resin shell. A mounting piece in the form of a metallic plate is secured to the shell with its portion embedded in the shell. The portion of the mounting piece embedded in the shell is formed with a hole through which the cable passes. The hole includes a radial recess formed along the outer circumference of the hole. The recess is filled with a portion of the resin forming the shell, whereby the resin filling the recess serves to prevent the mounting piece from rotating relative to the shell.

  • Patent number: 7190160
Abstract: A wheel speed sensor includes a rotation detector mounted in an opening formed in a holder which is in turn inserted in a casing having one end closed. A pair of lead pieces extend from the detector and have connecting portions connected to respective relay terminals. A lid having a projection is fitted in the opening of the holder so that the projection is inserted between the connecting portions. The projection thus separates and insulates the connecting portions from each other. A cover is formed by molding a resin to cover the open end of the casing and the portion of the holder protruding from the open end of the casing.
