  • Patent number: 7195403
Abstract: The present invention is to provide an intelligent pluggable transceiver improving EMI tolerance with a simple mechanism. The optical transceiver of the invention includes upper and lower housings, a holder, optical assemblies, a cover, a substrate and a grip. The optical assemblies are fixed with the upper and lower housings together with the holder by interposing a conductive elastic member. Although the rear end of the substrate is exposed outside of the transceiver, the shield gasket and the ground pattern on the substrate shield the contact portion between the substrate and the upper housing, and between the substrate and the cover. Moreover, the grip and the latch lever installed in the lower housing, and the elastic piece realize the latching/releasing mechanism of the transceiver with the host system.

  • Patent number: 6337531
Abstract: A surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) device that has not only an increased propagation velocity of SAWs but also an increased electromechanical coupling coefficient of 20% or more. The SAW device comprises a diamond substrate 10, a KNbO3 layer 30, and IDTs 40. The KNbO3 layer 30 is composed of a single crystal having the layer thickness and the crystal orientation that are controlled so as to obtain a propagation velocity of 5,000 m/s or more and an electromechanical coupling coefficient of 20% or more for the SAW in a specified mode.

  • Patent number: 6308807
Abstract: A disk brake having members for keeping the friction pads in contact with the disk rotor in such a way that the wear of the friction members and the energy loss are kept to a minimum. The disk brake has a disk rotor, friction pads provided opposed to each other on both sides of the disk rotor, a caliper formed with a fluid pressure cylinder at least on one side of the disk rotor, and a piston slidably received in the cylinder for selectively applying braking force to the disk rotor by pushing the friction pads into sliding contact with the disk rotor. A resilient member is disposed between the piston and one of the friction pads provided opposite the piston for biasing the friction pads toward the disk rotor by a predetermined stroke, thereby keeping the friction pads in contact with the disk rotor at a predetermined surface pressure even while the brake is not applied.
