Patents Assigned to Sumitomo Electric Networks, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8848911
Abstract: Provided is a content receiving device that can reduce processing loads at a time when an encrypted stream is decrypted. A video recording and reproducing device 5 includes: a receiving section 20 that receives a video stream in which data of a content containing video is divided into a plurality of TS packets; an extraction section 23 that extracts from the video stream, in a case where the video stream received by the receiving section 20 is an encrypted stream, a scramble key for decrypting the encrypted stream; a decryption section 24 that decrypts, by using the scramble key, only a specific packet among the plurality of TS packets; and an obtaining section 25 that obtains predetermined information of the video stream, based on data decrypted by the decryption section 24.

  • Publication number: 20130315582
Abstract: An optical communication module includes a control unit and a nonvolatile memory. The control unit detects an abnormality of the optical communication module, generates log information regarding the detected abnormality, and writes the log information in the nonvolatile memory. After the number of times the log information has been written in the nonvolatile memory has reached a predetermined number of times, the control unit does not write log information in the nonvolatile memory. Accordingly, the number of times the nonvolatile memory is permitted to be written can be prevented from considerably decreasing.

  • Publication number: 20130215982
Abstract: A communication system between a vehicle and a communication device is disclosed. The vehicle transmits electricity supply information in an A-method to a relaying device like an electricity supply device through an electricity supply line. The electricity supply device receives the electricity supply information in the A-method, then, based on the electricity supply information in the A-method, generates electricity supply information in a B-method, and transmits to the communication device the electricity supply information obtained by conversion into the B-method. The communication device transmits electricity supply information in the B-method to the electricity supply device.

  • Patent number: 8249092
Abstract: A communication device includes: a reception unit receiving communication signals having different frequencies, where the communication signals include logic channels, from another communication device; a measurement unit measuring line states of the received communication signals; a communication signal allocation unit allocating one or more communication signals to each of the logic channels; a margin setting unit setting a margin value for each logic channel and deciding the margin value set for the corresponding logic channel as a margin value of the communication signal; a communication speed decision unit deciding a communication speed of each of the communication signals such that an error rate of each of the communication signals is less than a prescribed value in line states degraded by the margin value of the communication signal from the measured line states; and a transmission unit notifying the other communication device of an allocation result of the communication signal and the decided communic
