Patents Assigned to Sunbeam Plastics Corp.
  • Patent number: 4651885
Abstract: A tamper indicating dispensing closure having a body member forming a dispensing passage at one end and an opening to receive the neck of a container at the other end in which the dispensing passage and opening in the neck are in communication with each other but are closed by a breakable foil seal element permanently attachable to both the closure and the container with which the closure is to be used. One end of the cylindrical body member of the closure is closed by a removable cap which gives access to the seal so that it can be ruptured to afford dispensing of the contents of the container.

  • Patent number: 4603785
Abstract: A tamper indicating closure including a transparent outer cap and an inner insert disc with an integral depending plug seal which relies on the relative movement of the outer cap and the inner disc during opening movement to indicate tampering of the container after it has been sealed for the first time. The relative movement is insured by the fact that the plug seal coacts with the container to resist rotation of the insert disc maintaining the container in a sealed condition while the outer cap is being rotated in an opening direction. The inside top surface of the clear outer cap is printed with a message such as "OK" or "SECURE" in an ink which is removable by a wiping action. The upper surface of the disc has ridges or wipers which remove all or part of the message upon initial opening.

  • Patent number: 4537318
Abstract: A lock and seal member for a dispensing package including a container and a dispensing type closure is disposed in a manner to fuse the closure and container permanently together. Removal of the contents of the container requires dispensing through a dispensing passage in the closure while the seal remains in position to lock the closure in permanent position relative to the container and also to form a seal preventing the leakage of materials.
