Abstract: A lid stay formed from a housing slidably coupled to a base. The housing has a coupler section for securing said housing to a fixed object, and a connector section for securing the housing to the base. The base is formed from a cylindrical shaped tube defining an interior chamber, having an insertion section constructed and arranged to slidably receive said housing, but prevent the connector section of the housing from passing therethrough. An expanded coil spring is positioned within the interior chamber to maintain the housing and base in an expanded position. The lid stay is for use with a storage container base having a lid pivotally attached thereto. The lid stay biases the lid in an open position and provides resistance when closing the lid.

Abstract: The invention involves a system and method for constructing lawn furniture. The system includes box type beam members as well as a large box structure supported above a ground surface. The box structure provides rigidity and stability to the furniture while also functioning as storage space. The components are formed to ship in a dissembled compact state and snap together with minimal use of fasteners and tools.

Abstract: The present device provides a modular utility cart having configurable storage features which provide secure transportation for both large and small items. The basic cart construction includes a bottom platform having casters connected to the underside thereof, a top platform positioned above the bottom platform by four corner posts. The top and bottom platforms, as well as the corner posts, include various structural features which provide the modularity to the utility cart. The supports include notches and pockets that allow for removable bins to be positioned along the supports, as well as supports for shelving of various sizes. The top platform has an integrated tool rail configured to support and suspend items such as hand tools, ladder racks, bins, and additionally includes an adjustable height handle.
Abstract: A laundry cart comprised of a base assembly, casters, steel frame assembly, handle, and fabric hamper body. The quadrilateral base includes a pair of longitudinally spaced U-shaped members interposed between a pair of longitudinal slats and a plurality of transverse slats fixed together in a common lattice fashion. The steel frame assembly is comprised of uprights along the periphery of the base platform, which includes offset uprights and corner uprights. The corner uprights are attached above the base, thereby reducing the shear stress on the laundry cart. The Z-shaped offset uprights allow all the uprights on the short side and long side of the cart to be on the same plane. The hamper body is sized and configured to seat within the uprights and crossmembers. The hamper body includes reinforced trim along the top periphery, which is constructed of a sewn soft rubber to prevent scuffing and damage to walls and doors.

Abstract: A refuse receptacle is disclosed, having a body with an upper and a lower portion, the upper portion having a top rim forming a gusset with a vertical wall and a horizontal wall, the lower portion having a bottom side with a base rim. On the back side of the upper portion is a handle attached to the body of the receptacle. The handle is attached to the upper portion by at least one projecting sidewall. A lid is included, having a convex upper surface and two sets of opposing sidewalk. The opposing sidewalls correspond with the top rim of the body. The lid includes at least one projection to attach to the handle with a securing plate and fastener. The lower portion includes a drainage plug so that liquids within the body can be easily drained. A pair of wheels arc connected by an axle and housed within wheel recesses.
