    Abstract: The application discloses an inverter and a photovoltaic and energy storage system. The inverter includes a first cabinet configured for being fixed on a mounting surface and a second cabinet configured for being fixed on the mounting surface, where the first cabinet is provided with a first connection terminal, the second cabinet is provided with a second connection terminal, the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal are configured for plugging along a direction that the first cabinet moves to the mounting surface, and the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal are plugged with each other when the first cabinet is located on the mounting surface. The inverter described above simplifies assembly of the first cabinet and the second cabinet, thereby simplifying mounting of the inverter.
