    Abstract: Vibration from a hearing aid receiver (and mechanical shock caused by dropping the hearing aid in which it is installed) is damped by a low-durometer elastomeric component that is adhered external to the receiver. The component may be filled with an electrically nonconductive viscous liquid. The component may also be a solid bead or may be provided with a multiplicity of outwardly-extending flexible fingers.
