Abstract: A method for calculating coefficients of a filter and a method for filtering are provided. The invention directly factorizes a specific function in a cepstrum domain by spectral factorization and cepstrum technique to obtain coefficients of denominator function from the filter. In other words, the invention adopts a non-iterative algorithm to reduce computational complexity and avoid convergence due to calculating coefficients. Besides, the specific function of the invention includes a compensation function, so that a Fourier transform with greatly reduced size can be utilized in the spectral factorization to greatly save the computations and keep good system performance at a receiver.

  • Publication number: 20090113086
Abstract: A method for providing a buffer status report in a mobile communication network is implemented between a base station and a user equipment. When data arrives to buffers of the user equipment and the priority of a logical channel for the data is higher than those of other logical channels for existing data in the buffers, a short buffer status report associated with the buffer of a logical channel group corresponding to the arrival data is triggered. The user equipment is based on obtained resources allocated by the base station to fill all data of the buffer of the logical channel group in a Protocol Data Unit. If all data of the buffer of the logical channel group corresponding to the arrival data can be completely filled in the Protocol Data Unit, the short buffer status report is canceled. Otherwise, the user equipment transmits the short buffer status report.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for timing control of channel estimation. The method includes: sequentially shifting a channel estimation window in a power-delay profile in a specific time interval to obtain a plurality of candidate segments; sequentially calculating a metric corresponding to the candidate segments according to the delay paths and the channel power contained in the candidate segments; among the metrics, finding out an optimal segment with the maximum metric and deciding a timing of channel estimation based on the optimal segment.

  • Publication number: 20090055452
Abstract: A journaling file allocation table (FAT) file system includes an FAT file system module, a storage device and a driver. The FAT file system module includes a journaling module and receives a file operation instruction sent by an operating system. The storage device has an FAT file system and an FAT journaling cache. The driver is coupled to the FAT file system module, the journaling module and the storage device in order to access the storage device. When the FAT file system stored in the storage device is a journaling FAT file system, the FAT file system module enables the journaling module to receive and execute the file operation instruction sent by the operating system and to accordingly produce a corresponding file operation instruction to the driver for performing a journaling file operation on the storage device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a rake receiver and a method for de-spreading thereof. A plurality of noise branches is adopted for producing a plurality of noise components in the rake receiver. Next, a noise combining unit adjusts each noise component according to a plurality of noise weights, so as to combine the noise components to obtain an interference-plus-noise estimation value. The rake receiver eliminates the noises in the main signal generated by the signal branches through using the interference-plus-noise estimation value. Therefore, the performance of a receiving terminal can be enhanced.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an interactive image and graphic system and method capable of detecting collision. A storage device stores a plurality of image data streams. Each image data stream includes a header, which has at least one position coordinate field, and the at least one position coordinate field corresponds to at least one object of the image data stream. An image engine plays a first image data stream of the plurality of image data streams. A graphic engine receives a sprite picture data. The sprite picture data includes a sprite position coordinate. The graphic engine receives the header of the first image data stream. When the sprite position coordinate superimposes over a position coordinate of the at least one object of the first image data stream, the graphic engine drives the image engine to select a second image data stream from the storage device for being played.
