Abstract: A skylight having a shaped reflector placed inside of the skylight adjacent a lamp for providing uniform natural and artificial lighting. The shaped reflector is positioned a predetermined vertical distance and a predetermined horizontal distance within the housing of the skylight to provide uniform artificial illumination simulating natural daylight illumination. Thermal efficiencies are improved with placement of a thermal barrier between upper and lower housings and external positioning of electrical ballast. Installation efficiencies are improved with the formation of an integral curb between the upper and lower housings.
