Abstract: The present invention provides a composition comprising a green-yellow vegetable (e.g., broccoli, spinach, parsley, komatsuna (Brassica rapa L.), Japanese radish leaves) and a light-colored vegetable (e.g., lettuce, cabbage, celery), the composition having the following effects: (1) inhibiting the generation of blood lipid peroxide; (2) lowering blood TBARS levels or suppressing the elevation of blood TBARS levels; (3) increasing blood vitamin E levels; (4) enhancing blood antioxidant activity; (5) enhancing blood TRAP levels; (6) lowering blood active oxygen levels or suppressing the elevation of blood active oxygen levels; and (7) preventing or treating diabetic complications.

Abstract: An oral hygiene device comprises a rotating body 22 mounted to a rotating shaft 21 of an electric motor 14, an output shaft 11 resiliently supported via a resonance pin 25 to be swingable finely, a drive magnetic body 23 provided on the rotating body 22, and a driven magnetic body 31 provided on the output shaft 11 to face the drive magnetic body 23 so as to be out of contact therewith. The drive magnetic body 23 and the driven magnetic body 31 are composed of permanent magnets, and as the rotating body 22 revolves, a varying magnetic field is generated between the both magnetic bodies 23, 31 to cause vibration of the output shaft 11 at high speed. In this manner, there are provided a vibration generating device, which can be manufactured at low cost and efficiently transmits vibration, and an oral hygiene device using the same.

Furthermore, addition of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose to the oral compositions makes it possible to improve rheologic properties and stability with time.

Abstract: An oral bandage comprising a soft adhesive film comprising a mixture of a polycarboxylic acid and/or a polycarboxylic acid anhydride and a vinyl acetate polymer in a compatible state, and an oral preparation comprising such an oral bandage having incorporated therein a topical drug are disclosed. The oral bandage or preparation exhibits strong adhesion of long duration when applied to the oral mucosa or teeth.
