Patent number: 8638209Abstract: A traffic control board assembly as a self-contained unit is provided for mounting in an emergency response vehicle in a manner that accommodates deployment of a traffic control board above the top surface of the emergency response vehicle in any desired angular orientation about a vertical axis for visibility from any direction in relation to the emergency response vehicle. When docked, the top cover on the traffic board provides a weatherproof cover. Manual input and programmed control of a liftable rotation assembly on which the traffic board is mounted facilitate convenient and simple operation. A motion signal indicative of the emergency response vehicle moving can prevent deployment of the traffic control board and/or initiate returning it to a docked or stowed position.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2010Date of Patent: January 28, 2014Assignee: Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventors: Shaun Oskroba, Ervin Weinmeister

Patent number: 5941314Abstract: A pressure ventilator of a type carried by firefighters and rescue workers to a burning building to provide either positive or negative pressure ventilation is characterized by a modular structure in which one module comprises a fan and electric motor unit mounted together in a frame on wheels with a handle and another module comprises a battery pack, motor controller, circuits, and connectable electric cables mounted together in a carrying case. The ventilator module has a carrying structure for mounting and holding the battery module, and the battery module has enough capacity to drive the fan in the ventilator module for at least twenty minutes without falling below a minimum voltage threshold. The motor controller in the battery module compares actual voltage to the threshold and disconnects the batteries from the motor in the ventilator unit when the actual voltage falls below the threshold.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1998Date of Patent: August 24, 1999Assignee: Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company Inc.Inventors: Roger E.
