Abstract: A container closure system comprising a threaded cap and a threaded neck wherein the cap is affixed to the neck by direct axial application so that the mating threads slip past one another and into engagement. The cap further includes sealing means to capture and constrict the outer diameter of the neck, and valve means to plug the container opening in the neck and expand the outer diameter of the neck, so that the sealing means and valve means cooperate to improve sealing of the cap and neck. The cap and neck further include tamper-indication means to prevent removal of the cap without activation thereof.

Abstract: In combination, a container having an opening and a cap adapted for closing the opening and having a tamper-indicating ring frangibly connected thereto for denying removal of the cap while the ring is connected thereto, wherein the ring comprises a plurality of pull-tabs to facilitate disconnection from the cap, the pull-tabs being symmetrically disposed about the ring such that one or more is convenient to right-handed users and one or more of the remaining is convenient to left-handed users, regardless of the cap's rotational position relative to the user.

Abstract: The border element of a double glazed window unit of the casement of awning type includes an elongate unitary body formed entirely of vinyl plastics; its cross-section defines: a glass-receiving base portion including a web and a pair of legs surrounding the outer marginal edges of the glass sheets; a first enclosed hollow portion integral with the opposite face of the web and defining a first insulation chamber; and a second enclosed hollow portion integral with one of the pair of legs and with the front wall of the first chamber to thereby define a second insulation chamber. A window unit is thus provided where the metallic components used for the support and the operation of the window are enclosed within these insulation chambers and where effective insulation between both faces of the window unit may still be maintained.
