The composition of the present invention is able to support and/or provide therapy to individuals at risk and/or under treatment for dysfunctions of energy metabolism, and specifically, for mitochondrial diseases.

Abstract: A purified shilajit composition is provided herein from native shilajit. An extraction process for obtaining such extract composition, and pharmaceutical and nutritional use products thereof, also are described.
