Abstract: The invention relates to a directly laminated plate or board that is produced by hot-pressing a core with absorbent, resin-impregnated layers, wherein at least one board surface has a decorative layer with a graphic representation of the surface of an imitated material, in addition to a resin-impregnated, transparent cover layer on said decorative layer, with a relief-like reproduction of the surface structure of the imitated material, where a resinous intermediate ply is provided between the decorative layer and the core.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing decorative papers and/or panels for flooring or surfacing of furniture, wall, finish foils, filter papers or kraft papers for low and high pressure use etc., in which a substantially dry solid composition is prepared in powder form, having a polymer component containing aminopiasts (amino resins) and/or phenoplasts (phenolic resins) and/or mixtures in powder form, used as such and/or mixed with additives; the composition is then applied dry on a support in powder form and is heated after being deposited onto the support to melt the composition and form a coating polymer layer onto the support; the composition may instead be heated first to be molten before and then applied in a fluid form onto the support.

Abstract: The invention relates to a laminated decorative plate comprising a core made of a fiber or particle material, a resinous intermediate layer on at least one side of the core, a decorative layer not impregnated with resin and having a graphic image of the surface of the imitated material, and a transparent core layer, into which the relief-like reproduction of the surface structure of the imitated material is stamped. The intermediate layer is made of liquid glue, curable by pressure and/or heat, that is applied to the core.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a decorated laminate having a plate-shaped core made of wood or wood material, a decorative layer on at least one side of the core, and a cover layer made of aminoplast on the decorative layer, comprising the following steps: attaching the decorative layer, applying a layer made of an aqueous solution of an aminoplast precursor to form a cover layer on the decorative layer, at least partially drying the cover layer, curing the aminoplast under pressure and heat, wherein a part of said solution of said aminoplast precursor is initially applied and the partial layer thus generated is dried and said step is repeated at least twice, in order to form the final cover layer.

Abstract: In the production of decorated plates coated on both sides, the supporting material has to be provided with the coatings for the top side and the bottom side in a plurality of passes. This is simplified significantly by firstly coating both sides with a liquid glue, applying webs of the decorative paper or, if appropriate, of a backing paper or of a nonwoven to these layers, applying, after the glue has dried, a pulverulent composition comprising a resin which can be melted and cured by heating to the top side of the first web on the top side of the plate, partially melting or melting this composition and finally curing the glue and resin composition under pressure and heat.

Abstract: Double-sided polishing machine with an upper and a lower working disc, each comprising a polishing disc and a carrier disc. The working disc are co-axially arranged and rotatable relative to each other, a polishing gap being formed between the polishing discs. Said workpieces are machined in the polishing gap. A temperature control device being at least provided for the upper working disc by which a temperature control fluid can be conveyed through passages in the upper working disc. A spacing measuring device being associated with the working discs which measure the spacing in the polishing gap (gap width ?) at two radial spaced points of the polishing gap.
