    Abstract: The present invention relates to a stone like laminate that comprises a support layer made from a cementious matrix board and a surface layer. The surface layer comprises a high percentage of particles from an inorganic material such as stone particles and a low percentage of a resin, such as a polyester resin. The stone like laminate of the present invention can be produced at low cost and provides a aesthetic laminate that is highly resistant to heat, water and pressure.
