Abstract: A chest armor panel (1) for female body armor vests wherein the breast cups (10A, 10B) of the armor panel are specially layered so that stitching lines (8) are offset from each other and covered by intermediary layers of non-stitched ballistic fabric or apex covers (26) to enhance the performance of the vest.
Abstract: A rear break away ballistics vest (1) having a front section (36) and a back section (11) that are securable to one another. The front section (36) has a first side front section (16), a second side front section (17) and an upper front section (18). The back section (11) has a first side back section (13), a second side back section (14) and a back section cover (12) secured to the back section (11). A release strap (44) is located on the front section (36) to permit a user to quickly and easily remove the rear break away ballistics vest (1) with one hand. A first shoulder strap (4) and a second shoulder strap (5) are connected to the front section (36) and extend to the back section (11). A first clip (38) is located on the back section (11) to release the first shoulder strap (4) from the first clip (38). Similarly, a second clip (39) is located on the back section (11) to release the second shoulder strap (5) from the second clip (39).
Abstract: A front break away ballistics vest (1) having a front (36) and a back section (11) that are securable to one another. The front section (36) has an upper front section (18) and a lower front (12) section. A first clip (38) is located on the upper front section (18) to release a first shoulder strap (4) from the first clip (38) and a second clip (39) is located on the upper front section (18) to release a second shoulder strap (5) from the second clip (39). The first and second clips (38 and 39) are secured to one another, preferably via a release strap (44). A third clip (40) is located on the lower front section (12) to release the first and second clips (38 and 39) from the third clip (40). The third clip (40) is also secured to the first and second clips (38 and 39), preferably via the release strap (44).
Abstract: A ballistics vest pad cover (4) having at least one side that is transparent, thereby permitting a user to easily view the condition of the ballistics vest pad (3). In addition, because at least one side is transparent, a user will be able to readily determine which side should be facing towards the body. An optional label (9) may be placed on the body-face side of the cover (5) so as to provide an additional means of indicating the body-face side of the cover (5) and ballistics vest pad (7). Because the user will be able to easily view the ballistics vest pad (3), he or she will always be aware of the condition of the ballistics vest pad (3) and may replace the ballistics vest pad (3) and cover (4) as needed. As the user no longer needs to guess whether the ballistics vest pad (3) is still in good condition, lives will be saved. In addition, the number of injuries occurring from wearing the ballistics vest pad (3) incorrectly will be dramatically reduced.
