Abstract: A method and system for closed-circuit combined unit respiration, is disclosed. More specifically, an enriched air, multi-use closed-circuit self-contained breathing apparatus for on-demand transition between a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) mode and a closed-circuit rebreather mode, is disclosed. The system may comprise a carbon dioxide scrubbing canister configured to receive an exhaled gas and scrub carbon dioxide from the exhaled gas when in a closed-circuit mode. A breathing bag may receive the scrubbed gas when in the closed-circuit mode. The scrubbed gas may be infused with oxygen, resulting in an enriched gas when in the closed-circuit mode. A cooler comprising a plurality of heatsink fins may cool the enriched gas and a breathing hose may transmit the enriched gas for inhalation when in the closed-circuit mode. The system may further comprise a PAPR to intake and filter external air for inhalation when in the PAPR mode.

Abstract: A tactical gear holder for securely retaining tactical gear comprising a body having a lower end, an upper end opposing the lower end and defining an upper aperture sized to receive an article of tactical gear, a rear sidewall defining an adjustment aperture and having an outer rear side surface and an inner rear side surface, a front sidewall, a left sidewall, and a right sidewall, and a body cavity sized to receive articles of tactical gear. The tactical gear holder further comprises an internal gear retention member, a first portion, and a distal free end operably configured to selectively translate, independent of the first portion of the internal gear retention member, within the body cavity through rotation of a set screw disposed within the adjustment aperture, thereby biasing the article of tactical gear within the body cavity and against the outer retainer surface and the inner front side surface.

Abstract: An attachment system for load-bearing equipment includes two sets of parallel webbing strips disposed at an angle to each other. The straps are attached to equipment base fabric such that they form vertical channels between the webbing and the fabric which are at an angle relative to both sets of straps and diagonal channels between the webbing and the fabric which are parallel to one of the sets of straps. An accessory can be mounted in any of at least three different orientations by running accessory straps parallel to one of the sets of webbing strips or running the straps within the vertical channels.

Abstract: A personnel decontamination and containment system is disclosed. This system includes a plurality of components positionable on a selected location for establishment of a multi-station decontamination and containment facility to decontaminate personnel and to contain contaminants collected during the decontamination process. The components can include a plurality of collapsible frame and roof assemblies, wall and roof covers, a weapons clearing assembly, a weapons storage locker, a hanging bar, a signage assembly, collapsible containment hamper assemblies, a covered dispensing assembly, a shuffle box, a multi-wipe dispensing assembly, and a transportable containment enclosure. The enclosure is shaped and sized to removably retain the system's components for transportation or the like.

Abstract: A hand operated fire starting tool for use as a survival aid and in general outdoor activities such as camping. The tool includes a case, a pyrophoric element mounted to the case for reciprocal and rotational movement between a stored position and an operating position. It also includes means such as a spring for biasing the element toward the operating position and a striker which may be engaged with the element. The tool also includes a cap which is both pivotally and slidably mounted to the case for releasingly securing the element in its stored position.

Abstract: A fastener for removably attaching pockets and other accessories to garments which includes slidably interlocking male and female members. The male member also includes a locking tab which cooperates with a locking post on the female member for securing the fastener in a closed position. The male member and the female member may be attached to the pocket and the garment respectively by sewing them in position.
