Patents Assigned to SUTURION AB
  • Patent number: 12622691
Abstract: A crimping device for securing a suture to a double-pointed medical suture needle includes a lower block and an upper block that are pressed towards each other to secure the suture to the needle. The lower block has a first groove to accommodate the suture and a second groove to accommodate the needle. The grooves are substantially perpendicularly to each other. The lower block has a lower crimping pin in a lower crimping pin channel at an intercept of the first and second groove. The upper block has an upper crimping pin arranged in an upper crimping pin channel at the intercept of the grooves. The lower and upper crimping pins are configured to move in the lower and upper crimping pin channels, respectively, towards the groove intercept to secure the suture to the needle. A method of securing a suture to a double-pointed medical suture needle is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12594070
Abstract: A one-handed automatic suturing device with a needle-transfer of a double-ended needle includes a first and a second jaw element that are movable in relation to each other between an open position and a closed position. The first jaw element has an alternating mechanism for alternating, each time the jaw elements are moved to the closed position, between: a retaining position, wherein the alternating mechanism is configured to retain a first end of the double-ended needle with a first retention strength; and a releasing position, wherein the alternating mechanism is configured for releasing said needle. The second jaw element has a holding mechanism for retaining and releasing a second end of the double-ended needle; wherein the holding mechanism is configured to retain the second end of the double-ended needle with a second retention strength that is lower than the first retention strength.
