    Abstract: The invention discloses an area light source device comprises: a light guide body comprising an incidence plane, a front exit plane and a rear exit plane which extend along two opposite sides of the incidence plane; a light emitting body disposed along a side of the incidence plane of the light guide body; a structural layer disposed on one side of the rear exit plane, and used for changing the direction of light from the light guide body to the structural layer and emitting the light in a direction away from the rear exit plane; and second medium layers wrapped in the structural layer, wherein the refractive index of a material of the second medium layers is less than the refractive index of a material of the structural layer. The invention further discloses a flat panel display device.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a wedge-shaped light guide plate and a collimating backlight module. The wedge-shaped light guide plate includes an incident surface at a thick end, a first light-emitting surface, a second light-emitting surface and two side surfaces, wherein a wedge angle is formed between the first light-emitting surface and the second light-emitting surface, and an incident micro-prism structure is disposed on the incident surface. The collimating backlight module is composed of at least one wedge-shaped light guide plate, a strip-shaped light source disposed on one side of the incident surface of the wedge-shaped light guide plate, a reverse prism film disposed on one side of the first emergency surface, and a reflecting film disposed on one side of the second emergency surface. Half of the light-emitting angle of the collimating backlight module can reach ±25°, which is superior to the anti-pry angle of most privacy films on the present market.

    Abstract: A backlight module for a liquid crystal display including a light source, a triangular wedge for generating parallel beams, a reflecting device, and a deflection-collimating device, all of which are disposed in front of a liquid crystal display in sequence. The triangular wedge includes a first incident surface, a first emergent surface, and a second emergent surface. The included angle formed between the first emergent surface and the second emergent surface is 5°. The first incident surface is opposite to the light source. The reflecting device is disposed at one side of the first emergent surface to reflect the light rays from the first emergent surface back to the triangular wedge. The deflection-collimating device is disposed between the second emergent surface and the liquid crystal display to refract parallel beams from the second emergent surface to generate light rays vertical to the plane of the liquid crystal display.
