Patents Assigned to Suzlon Energy GmbH
  • Patent number: 9206787
Abstract: A wind turbine is provided with a rotor, a substantially horizontal rotor shaft, with a machine frame, with output means for dissipating the rotation energy of the rotor; wherein the output means are formed as ring gear or planet carrier of a gear box; the rotor shaft is connected in a rotation-fixed manner to the machine frame; the rotor has a hub and at least one rotor blade attachable thereto, is rotatably supported on the rotor shaft, and is connected substantially in a rotation-fixed manner to the output means; wherein decoupling connecting means are effectively arranged between the output means and the rotor, so as to substantially prevent the transmitting of radial, axial and/or tilting motions from the rotor onto the output means.

  • Patent number: 8866330
Abstract: The invention relates to a tower for a wind turbine and to a cable guide therefor, wherein a nacelle for the wind turbine is arranged on the tower such that it can rotate by means of the azimuth bearing about a vertical axis which runs in the longitudinal direction of the tower. Current-conducting cables are routed in the tower of the wind turbine out of the nacelle from electrical components to the ground. The tower has at least two bundling devices which are suitable for joining the individual cables which run longitudinally in the tower together to form a cable bundle with the cables fixed with respect to one another. The bundling devices are attached to the cables between an upper and a lower area of the cable bundle. In this case, geometric configuration of the bundling device ensures that at least between three cables it is not below a specific minimum distance.

  • Patent number: 8334608
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a wind turbine decelerates and/or locks a rotor or a rotor shaft of the wind turbine. For maintenance work, the rotor or the rotor shaft is lockable to a machine support of the wind turbine in a form-fit manner by utilizing the locking mechanism. A rotational position of the rotor shaft is automatically detected in a DESIRED position. Moreover, the locking mechanism is configured to be automatically engaged when the DESIRED position has been reached. The locking mechanism additionally has at least one deceleration device for affecting the drive train and/or allowing the rotational speed of the rotor and the rotor shaft to be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20120224799
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bearing device for a wind turbine, wherein the bearing arrangement has two bearing partners, which are pivoted arranged relative to each other over a common axis. A gliding pad acting in an axial direction is provided between the bearing partners. The object of the invention is to provide a bearing arrangement for a wind turbine, which among others avoids the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, a maintenance-friendly and force flow-optimized arrangement of the gliding pads is to be enabled. The replaceability of the gliding pads is to be improved in a simple and cost-effective manner by disposing the individual gliding pads in pockets between the two bearing partners, wherein the pockets are provided in the material of the machine frame. Additionally, the option exists to use the bearing arrangement at the same time as an active brake.

  • Publication number: 20120039011
Abstract: The invention relates to a transmission device for a wind turbine, having a holder, a sliding contact device having pressing means, and at least one electrode having adjustment means for transmitting lightning current. The electrode can form a spark gab having a sparking distance S together with a ring electrode, wherein the ring electrode can be arranged on the rotary device, or can be connected to a grounding device that cannot be rotated with respect to the rotary device. To improve the transmission, the holder is rotationally fixed arranged on the rotary device, or arranged in a non rotatable manner with respect to the grounding device. Furthermore, the electrode is arranged in a movable manner relative to the holder by means of a tracking device having support means. The electrode is supported by way of the supporting means relative to the rotary device or the ring electrode such that the sparking distance S can not fall below a minimum dimension.

  • Publication number: 20120010852
Abstract: A method for determining damage to a rotor blade of a wind turbine, includes at least the following time-domain-analysis steps: measuring the vibrations of a rotor blade by means of an acceleration sensor; obtaining event-time intervals, in which the amplitudes of the measurements steadily exceed a threshold; obtaining the number of these event-time intervals in at least a predetermined analysis time interval; and sending an error signal, when the obtained number of the event-time intervals is above a predetermined threshold for a predetermined analysis time interval.
