  • Patent number: 4988141
Abstract: A frame having a substantially L-shaped configuration for supporting a vehicular hood, the frame being provided with holding portions for turnably holding the frame on a vehicular body at both the ends and a fixing portion for fixing the frame to the vehicular body by engaging the fixing portion with a fixing member on the vehicular body at the central part thereof, wherein the frame is provided further with a handle in the vicinity of a bent portion thereof, the handle being connected to two points on the frame so as to allow it to be actuated from the inside of a vehicle. The hood can be opened or closed by pushing or pulling the handle adapted to be actuated from the inside of the vehicle. The handle may be jointed to a frame on the vehicular body side via a band or the like means extending therebetween. Consequently, the hood can be closed in a locked state. Moreover, a suitable quantity of wind can be introduced into the interior of the vehicle by keeping the hold in a half-opened state.

  • Patent number: 4955659
Abstract: A vehicular back door fitting mechanism includes a plurality of hinges arranged along one rear pillar with hinge portions turnable with respect to the one rear pillar. A window glass is provided with a cut out at one lower corner thereof so that the uppermost hinge is located at the cut-out part of the window glass. This arrangement of the uppermost hinge permits a hinge span which is longer, resulting in a fitting strength of the back door being increased remarkably. The uppermost hinge is covered with a trim element and at least one other hinge is located below the uppermost hinge, arranged inside of the back door so that they cannot be seen from the outside. This arrangement provides an improved appearance.

  • Patent number: 3945166
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a roof plate assembly comprising a plurality of individual roof plates interlocked with one another by means of a plurality of anchoring pieces, and fastened to a batten or the like. The anchoring pieces connect the trailing end of each roof plate with the leading end of the following roof plate. The anchoring pieces and the roof plates are interlocked with one another by means of bent stop portions having portions spaced from one another with sufficient clearance to absorb dimensional inaccuracies during assembly. Each roof plate further includes a suspending piece which depends from its leading end and abuts the trailing end of the preceding roof plate to provide, in combination with the anchoring piece, a double connection at the trailing end of each roof plate.
