    Abstract: A gyratory crusher comprises a body and an annular outer shell, which is fixedly connected to the body about an essentially vertical center axis. A shaft member is arranged radially inside the outer shell to perform, during crushing, a swinging movement about the center axis. A crushing chamber forms between the outer shell and an annual inner shell arranged on the shaft member. A piston member is displaceable along the center axis and is arranged in a cylinder member belonging to the body. The upper end of the piston member supports, via an intermediate thrust bearing, a lower end of the shaft member. A transport duct for supplying to the thrust bearing a medium promoting the bearing function extends through the piston member and is defined upstream of the piston member by a transfer means. At least a part of the transfer means is displaceable relative to the piston member and at least a part is displaceable relative to the cylinder member.

In operation, the crushing gap is adjusted as a function of the determined crushing-shell wear calculated on the basis of reference data on the established rate of wear of the crushing shells (4, 5) in previous crushing operations involving the same or a similar raw material. To adjust the particle size distribution of the crushed goods and obtain the desired particle size distribution curve, the crusher is operated with brief periods of alternatingly different settings of the width of the crushing gap (6) and/or with alternating crushing power or crushing force.

    Abstract: The object of the invention is a cone crusher comprising a shaft mounted in a frame for oscillating movement, and a rotor which is rotatably mounted on the shaft and adapted to be rotated on the shaft by means of a drive and which has an out-of-balance weight so that the rotation of the rotor in conjunction with centrifugal force sets the shaft in gyratory oscillating motion, while a conical crusher head carried by the shaft is caused to roll on the inner side of a crushing mantle carried by the frame.     Abstract: A method of mounting and dismounting hammers in a hammer mill in which the hammers are supported in rows on carrier bars, in which each such row of hammers is grasped, lifted and held, by means of a gripping and lifting device, in a position in which the carrier bar, on mounting of the hammers, may, in the unloaded state, be inserted in the row of hammers and connected to the rotor of the hammer mill in order thereafter to be loaded with the weight of the hammers. Moreover, on dismounting of the hammers, the carrier bar may, in the unloaded state, be withdrawn from the row of hammers which is thereafter lifted out of the hammer mill.
