Abstract: Disclosed are laying planks (11) which allow a variation of the working width of the road finisher and are comprised of a main plank and two displacement planks (13) disposed displaceably on opposite ends of the main plank. For a more precise guidance and more stable mounting of the displacement planks (13) on the main plank, it is known to arrange intermediate slides (14) between the main plank and the displacement plank (13). However, these intermediate slides (14) do not allow a full extension of the displacement planks (13) relative to the main plank. According to the invention, the intermediate slides (14) have guide rods (26, 27) which project from outer end face plates (20) of the intermediate slides (14). As a result, the displacement planks (13) can be extended beyond the region of the main plank over their entire width.

Abstract: A road surface finisher with a tire drive and a chassis that carries a material bin in the front and, in the rear, a transverse spreading device with an installation beam. A primary drive unit which includes an internal combustion engine and at least one main pump, which drives hydraulic secondary drives of steerable front wheels and of rear wheels, is also mounted on the chassis. The front wheels are driven by hydraulic front wheel motors, and the rear wheels, respectively, are driven by a master drive that includes a hydraulic transport motor and a hydraulic working motor. The hydraulic master drive of the rear wheels and the hydraulic front wheel motors are fed by a single shared drive pump, which is driven by the primary drive unit.

Abstract: For changing the working width of a road finisher, its laying beam (10) is composed of a (central) main beam (13) and two shifting beams (14). In the retracted state, the shifting beams (14) must have only an overall width which is not greater than that of the main beam (13). Furthermore, the working width of the laying beam (10) may be increased by extending the shifting beams (14) to twice the width of the main beam (13). In this case, there is no longer any overlap between the main beam (13) and the shifting beams (14), but the transition of the main beam (13) to the shifting beams (14) causes unsightly imprints on the finished road surfacing. This problem is solved by providing a laying beam (10) which, by offset projections (20, 21) on the shifting beams (14), forms an overlap between marginal regions of the shifting beams (14) and the main beam (13) when the shifting beams (14) are fully extended. This avoids unsightly imprints on the finished road surfacing.
