  • Patent number: 5295327
Abstract: A sheet metal door frame formed by a substantially horizontally arranged U-shaped head piece and a pair of substantially vertically arranged likewise U-shaped jambs. The jambs preferably have square-cut ends which are arranged to extend into cut-outs at opposite ends of the head piece. The head piece and jambs present side walls, each of which terminates in a free longitudinal end at which an outwardly bent flange is provided for attachment of architraves. The head piece may additionally have hook-shaped end portions formed in its side walls at its opposite ends. These hook-shaped end portions are arranged to overlap end portions of the corresponding side walls of the jambs so as to engage the outwardly bent flanges of the jambs.

  • Patent number: 5183622
Abstract: Method for manufacturing form-pressed wood fibre panels, for example door skins, and panels manufactured according to the method. The process starts from a workable, mass produced panel displaying high thermal conductance, for example a so-called MDF-board or chip board. The panel is preheated to a condition where the wood fibres and the binding agent which binds the wood fibres form a pliable or stretchable composition though still in continous panel-like condition. This preheated panel is fed to a form-pressing device where the pressure is relatively slowly increased from 0 to approximately 30 kg/cm.sup.2 during continuing heat supply to a temperature of around 150.degree.-200.degree. C. Usually this is attained in connection with door skins after a period of approximately 1,5 minutes. Finally, a form-stable, form-pressed panel is removed from the press.

  • Patent number: 5096750
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for curtain coating of paint or varnish on objects having profiled application surfaces, such as profiled door leaves, comprising a curtain head provided with a paint/varnish inlet and return outlet. The curtain head hereby exhibits two curtain lips positioned opposite each other, as well as an upper and a lower flow-equalization rail. The curtain head is further positioned at a predetermined height over a collector channel. A return line connects the return outlet with the collector channel and a conveyor is arranged to feed the profiled object inbetween the curtain head and the collector channel when applying the paint/varnish. The invention relates specifically to that the curtain height between the lowermost edge of the curtain lips and the application surface of the profiled object is at least 250 mm, and that the distance between the upper and the lower flow-equalization rail decreases in a direction from the paint/varnish inlet to the return outlet.
