Patent number: 10207886Abstract: Winder for an endless lane of a plastic web (2), with a revolving unit (6, 6?, 55, 90), which is constructed so as to be rotatable about its axis (16) and has at least two winding shafts (10 to 12, 10? to 12?) running parallel to its axis, onto which winding cores (17) can be loaded, then wound with the web (2) to a roll (18), finally unloaded therefrom again as finished rolls (18), wherein on both sides of the revolving unit (6, 6?, 50, 90) support arrangements are arranged, in which the winding shafts (10 to 12, 10? to 12?) are supported at their corresponding ends therein, and wherein the support for one end of the winding shafts (10 to 12, 10? to 12?) is constructed so as to be detachable, such that the respective winding shaft (10 to 12, 10? to 12?), with released support, can be loaded and unloaded from this end, characterized in that the detachably constructed support arrangements each have a gripper arrangement (36 to 38) with a two-armed scissor unit (39 to 41), the scissor arms (42, 43) of which surType: GrantFiled: July 4, 2012Date of Patent: February 19, 2019Assignees: Swiss Winding Inventing AG, Windmöller & Hölscher KGInventors: Richard David Pryle, Carlos Martinez, Rolf Kammann, Frank Hoffmann

Patent number: 10005635Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for producing a roll (18) made of a material web (5) of flexible material which is guided via a contact roller (19) of a winder and is wound in the said winder to form a roll (18), wherein the contact roller (19) maintains contact with the roll (18) during winding and the wrap angle (?) of the material web (5) passing over the contact roller (19), as the former is progressively wound, is maintained throughout at a variable reference value predetermined for each winding. In this way the wrap angle (?) for the winding can be adapted to the respective composition of the material web (5), which improves the quality of the winding.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2012Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignees: Swiss Winding Inventing AG, Windmöller & Hölscher KGInventors: Carlos Martinez, Rolf Kammann, Carl Jones

Publication number: 20130193260Abstract: The invention relates to a winding shaft for winding a continuous flexible material web into a roll. The winding shaft has means in order to adjust the diameter of the winding shaft surface to be wound between a reduced-diameter unused position and an expanded operating position, and the winding surface in the expanded position is formed jointlessly with a uniform curvature and is supported inward against the operational pressure around said winding surface in a dimensionally stable manner that is substantially uniform. A roll can thereby be wound without disruptions and then stored without a casing until the roll “dies”, said roll remaining stable during storage and not forming any disrupted zones on the inner face of the roll.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2011Publication date: August 1, 2013Applicant: SWISS WINDING INVENTING AGInventors: Carlos Martinez, Anh Kiet Tran
