Abstract: A method and system are provided for enabling forwarding of communication requests directed by callers to callees. Forwarding-profile information, which may be used in forwarding of communication requests directed to a callee, may be received in a computerized central unit. The computerized central unit may then transfer forwarding information that is based on the forwarding-profile information, to a network server in a network in which the callee is a user and/or a subscriber, for enabling the network server to forward communication requests to the callee based on the forwarding information. The forwarding-profile information may comprise destination addresses for forwarding communication requests to the callee; categorizations of callers into caller groups; and/or forwarding-schemes for specifying how to forward communication requests from particular callers.

Abstract: A system and a method for determining a location area of a user using a mobile communication terminal in a geographical area covered by a mobile radio network, based on location probabilities for defined sub-areas of the geographical area. The location probabilities may be determined based on, e.g., field strengths expected in the sub-areas from antennas and based on the antenna used by the mobile communication terminal. The location probabilities may indicate, for a sub-area, the probability that the mobile communication terminal is located in the respective sub-area. At least one ellipse defining the location area may be determined, such as based on the location probabilities. The location probabilities may enable determining elliptical location areas of mobile users much smaller than the area each antenna does cover physically, but without the need for measuring at the mobile communication terminal signal properties such as signal strength or observed time differences.

Abstract: A computer system (2) for transmitting context-specific data via a mobile radio network to a mobile communication terminal (3, 3?) and configured to receive and store condition data assigned to data elements of a data delivery unit (1). The computer system (2) checks whether the mobile communication terminal (3) satisfies one or more conditions defined by the condition data. If one of the conditions is satisfied, the computer system (2) triggers the transmission of context-specific data elements via the mobile radio network to the mobile communication terminal (3, 3?). The context-specific data elements are those data elements that are assigned to condition data that define the condition satisfied by the mobile communication terminal (3).

Abstract: An insertion device for a cable in an existing pipe network includes a longitudinally stable flexible element that can be inserted into a pipe region of the pipe network, and on which a head part can be placed. The head part can be diverted to pass through regions of bends of the pipe. Placed on the flexible element is a coupling part to which coupling part the cable to be pulled can be coupled. The head part includes a base body having an elongated shape, which can be led from a stretched position into a bent position. The base body includes guide elements by which at least one pulling element is guided that is spaced apart from the bending axis of the base body. One end of the pulling element is held at one end region of the base body, whereas the other end is held at a drivable linear drive that is attached at the other end region of the base body. Disposed at the end region, remote from the flexible element, of the head part are a light source and a camera.

Abstract: In a method and a system for data transmission, authentication data and an electronic key may be generated, with the electronic key being stored as assigned to the authentication data. Data may be encrypted, such as by a central communications device, into encrypted data, using at least part of the electronic key. Based on reception of the authentication data from a communications terminal, at least a portion of the electronic key and the encrypted data may be transmitted from the central communications device to the communications terminal.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for continuously recording surrounding information by a mobile device (11). The mobile device (11) of a user (1) continuously records surrounding information such as surrounding noises or surrounding image data and at least one file (7) is generated from the recording and sent to a remote server (4). Said file or a file derived therefrom (7) is automatically subdivided and/or indexed automatically depending on the contents of the file (7) and/or on metadata (M1, M2, M3) generated from external events (e1, e2, e3) in relation to the mobile device (11) and/or by the user (1). Advantageously, the user (1) searches the subdivided and/or indexed file (7) so that he can easily retrieve the recorded information.

A plurality of image subobjects are defined which respectively correspond to a portion of a representation of the image data object. Abstract: A method and system for location-dependent billing for services that are available to mobile terminals. A mobile terminal may access a fixably installed external location tag, and may obtain from the external location tag a billing rate code, which may then be forwarded from the mobile terminal to a central unit of a mobile communication network, in which the mobile terminal is logged. The central unit may determine a geographic location identification of the external location tag—e.g., by evaluation of the billing rate code—and may select a billing rate for billing for service(s) available to the user, based on the billing rate code at the external location tag. The mobile terminal may access the external location tag via a local communication connection, which may be set up between the mobile terminal and external location tag, such as using a corresponding wireless interface therebetween.

Abstract: A method, and corresponding system, for locating mobile communication terminals associated with a mobile radio network covering a geographical area. Antenna probabilities for a plurality of sub-areas of the geographical area are determined and stored, and locations of mobile communication terminals are estimated based on antennas used by the mobile communication terminals and the antenna probabilities for the sub-areas. The antenna probabilities are determined based on expected field strength. In this regard, the antenna probabilities indicate for at least some of the antennas the probability that in a respective sub-area the field strength of the corresponding antenna is higher than the field strength of other antennas, and the antenna probabilities indicate the probability that the mobile communication terminal, located in the respective sub-area, uses the corresponding antenna for at least one of registering or communicating with the mobile radio network.

Abstract: A method for data communication is provided and may include storing multimedia data in a first database, the multimedia data being associated with metadata. Enhanced metadata may be created based on user data of user profiles stored at a central management unit, associated to the multimedia data, and stored in the first database. Multimedia data may be selected from the first database based on the metadata, the enhanced metadata, and a user profile. The selected multimedia data may be modified to produce user-specific multimedia data which may be stored in a second database and may be communicated from the second database to a user terminal. An alarm to a user interface of the user terminal may be generated, if in producing the user-specific multimedia data from the profiled multimedia data, it was not possible to generate the user-specific multimedia data in conformance with the user specific hardware or network characteristics.

Abstract: A method and associated arrangement allows a content or service provider to establish an anonymous profile of a consumer using at least one request sent by the consumer through a communication network. The request sent by the consumer includes identification data of the consumer. The identification data is substituted in the network with an alias so as to anonymize the request. The identification data is not accessible to the content or service provider and there is a one-to-one and immutable correspondence between the identification data and the alias.

Abstract: A system and method for acoustical communication, in which an eyeglass frame includes at least one directionally dependent microphone for capturing voice signals of a user and a communication device for signal transmission to external electronic devices, so that the directional dependence of the at least one microphone is user-specifically adjustable in an adaptive way. The directionally dependent microphones can be implemented as microphone arrays and/or in MEMS technology, and contact microphones can be used.

Abstract: A Call Session Control Function (CSCF) unit may receive from a user a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message, which may be transmitted via a communication terminal, identifying particular media content on a particular content server, and in response the CSCF unit may transmit a second message to a particular application server (SIP-AS) if the CSCF unit determines that the SIP message is associated with the application server. The application server may generate and transmit to the communication terminal accessing information that may be used by the user to retrieve, via the communication terminal, the media content from the content server. Submitting content requests in this manner may enable routing content requests through an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), thereby making use of filtering features of the IMS for user authentication and access control, and obviating need for separate proprietary access control mechanisms for the content server.
