Abstract: A machine for preparing intravenous medicaments including an enclosing structure having a plurality of lateral walls arranged to define a closed internal working environment. An access station affords selective access to the closed internal working environment. One lateral wall is an equipped wall on which there are defined a plurality of stations for objects used in the preparation of intravenous medicaments. The stations on the equipped wall include temporary receiving or parking stations for the objects and operating stations for carrying out operations on the objects. A handling robot is programmed to transfer the objects from any station to any other station. The machine includes a metering module with one or more container support groups, a syringe support/metering member group, and a weighing group for weighing objects used in the preparation of intravenous medicaments.

Abstract: Storage and distribution system for products in unit doses, including plurality of housing units, each including a plurality of locations for products in unit doses. The housing units are organised on a vertical plane to produce at least one portion of a picking wall, in which the locations for products in unit doses face selective picking members. A picking unit includes picking members oriented on the picking wall for picking products packaged in unit doses. A collecting unit, arranged on a second side of the picking unit, includes a rack having a plurality of pegs facing towards the first side of the picking unit. The pegs are reached by the picking members so as to pick therefrom or deposit thereon products packaged in unit doses. The plurality of pegs as a whole can collect a smaller number of unit dose products than those that can be stored in the automatic store.

Abstract: A unit-dose medicament inspection system and method provide for the obtainment of an image of a receptacle after a corresponding filling operation in which a predetermined unit-dose medicament was to have been located in the receptacle. The image may be processed to extract image data that may be compared with stored data corresponding with a predetermined unit-dose medicament. Size, configuration and other features of objects located within a receptacle may be included with the extracted image data and compared with corresponding stored data to determine whether a given receptacle includes the intended medicament and/or whether the medicament located within the receptacle is an acceptable condition. Receptacle attributes may also be inspected for compliance with predetermined configuration parameters.

The device includes a system for identifying the positions of the pockets relative to the edge of the blister pack. The system for identifying the positions of the pockets relative to the edge of the blister pack includes a three-dimensional profiling device and/or a photometric stereo viewing system.

Abstract: An inspection assembly for inspecting an at least partially transparent single-dose casing of the envelope type, in which there is arranged a substantially transparent container for containing a substantially transparent liquid. The assembly includes a substantially point-like light source and a diffusive screen. The container is provided between the light source and the diffusive screen, which is a side of the casing itself, in order to project onto the screen a profile of luminous intensity that is recorded.

Abstract: A device for singling out products that are grouped in blister packs or similar multiple packages includes a support structure for at least one multiple package to be singled out, with a bearing surface defining a reference plane. A holding device can be activated selectively in order to hold the at least one multiple package against the bearing surface. A cutting head includes a cutting unit, preferably an ultrasound unit, with a device for cutting the multiple package, and a control is operatively connected to the cutting head and to the holding device in order to control relative movement between the cutting unit and the multiple package in accordance with a cutting scheme which is predetermined or is defined in real time, and which depends on the configuration of the multiple package.

Abstract: A system for automatic storage and withdrawal of products, including a storage facility with a plurality of storage locations arranged in rows and columns. A picking arrangement is selectively movable between the plurality of storage locations and a delivery location to pick one or more products contained in selected storage locations and deliver the product(s) to the delivery location according to a selected order. A computer is provided to control movement of the movable picking arrangement according to an order sequence. A number of adjacent storage locations are enclosed in an armored module having armored back, side, and top wall and a front access opening closed by a movable closure which is normally closed and which is selectively opened when the picking arrangement is to pick one or more products contained in any one of the adjacent storage locations within the armored module.

Abstract: The security device for containers having lids comprises a catch which is mobile internally of a chamber associated to the container and which has an end which is predisposed to insert snugly and be removed from a hollow seating afforded in a lid. The catch is mobile internally of the chamber in a non-parallel direction to an uncoupling direction of the lid from a retracted position, at which it does not interfere with the hollow seating, and at least one extended position, in which it is at least partially inserted in the hollow seating. The movement of the catch is pneumatically actuated.
