Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a network delay, on a network having a first client and at least one second client, comprising the steps of time synchronizing the first client and the second client, performing an action by the first client and capturing the action and its corresponding timestamp in a first log file, capturing a reaction of the second client caused by the action of the first client and its corresponding timestamp in a second log file, and determining the network delay by computing the time difference between the timestamp of the reaction and the timestamp of the action causing the reaction through comparison of the second log file with the first log file.
Abstract: According to the described method, interframe similarities s(i) are calculated for the frames of the video sequence, each interframe similarity s(i) being indicative of the similarity of two consecutive frames i?1, i. As it has been found, an analysis of the interframe similarities allows to determine various parameters that are characteristic for the mean opinion score MOS, such as the downsampling rate, pausing, or a noise-dependence of the interframe similarity at the keyframes. An objective mean opinion score MOSo being a value close to the mean opinion score is derived as a value linear in the pausing parameter, a keyframe distance parameter and further quality parameters measured in the spatial domain, corrected by a second value being an exponential model in the downsampling rate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for checking a ring-back signal comprising the following steps, time synchronizing a first device and a second device, causing an event by requesting the configuration of a ring-back signal with and for the first device at a specific time stamp and capturing the time stamp and the event in a first log file, calling the first device with the second device at a specific time stamp, recording the ring-back signal of the first device, comparing the ring-back signal with at least one reference signal yielding a comparison result, and capturing the time stamp and the comparison result in a second log file, and comparing the second log file with the first log file.
Abstract: The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a system that allows a realistic quality assessment of a mobile phone and/or mobile phone network. For this purpose, imaging optics are used to project the image from at least part of the phone display onto a camera. The image or video data from the camera is then processed in image processing circuitry for deriving at least one quality parameter for the received image or video.
Abstract: In order to mount a mobile phone in a test device, the current between the battery unit and the phone unit is fed through a switch unit. The switch unit contains at least one switch for interrupting the current, e.g. for resetting the mobile phone after malfunction.
