Abstract: Described herein is an air handling unit that includes canopies for compressor fans and exhaust fans located on a top thereof, which canopies provide for noise abatement and a canopy to assist in keeping precipitation out. The canopies further include louvers that can be controlled to provide for even further noise abatement and precipitation control.
Abstract: Described herein is an integrated data center that provides for efficient cooling, as well as efficient wire routing, and in particular a configuration in which electronic equipment cabinets are arranged in rows within thermal compartments where the cabinets may be rolled in and out of place as required and a frame supports thermal shields of the thermal compartment.
Abstract: The methods and apparatuses described herein is a data center. In one embodiment is described a data center comprising: a building having a plurality of rooms and first and second exterior load walls disposed on opposite sides of the building; a plurality of air handler and fluid cooler devices disposed exterior to the building along the first exterior load wall; a plurality of condenser unit devices disposed exterior to the building along the second exterior load wall; a data sector disposed inside the building, adjacent to the first exterior load wall; three separate UPS and substation distribution equipment rooms, each containing UPS and substation distribution equipment therein, as well as air conditioning equipment that is connected to certain of the plurality of condenser unit devices; and a power spine room disposed between the three separate UPS and substation distribution equipment rooms and the data sector, the power spine room including a plurality of PDU devices.
Abstract: A wall command switch (10) comprising a main frame (9) insertable over a conventional switch plate (50) and having a base portion (20) and an essentially planar pressure plate (15) rockably mounted within the base portion and substantially co-extensive therewith. An electrical switch (28) is mounted on the bottom surface of the main frame and a switch operator (35) is attached to the pressure plate in alignment with operable portions of the electrical switch so that rocking of the pressure plate moves the operator into engagement with the electrical switch. Structure in contact with the pressure plate to return the pressure plate to an unrocked position is provided. The base portion (20) also mounts a vertically moving override switch operator (55) which in turn moves through an actuator (70) an inwardly located position switch (77) which can allow automatic-manual or off functions of a light electrically connected to the command switch.
