Patent number: 12270284Abstract: A perforating gun includes a charge holder that is positioned in a carrier. End fittings are affixed to the ends of the holder and support the holder in a longitudinal passage of the carrier. Both end fittings have electrical conductors for an electrical signal disposed therethrough. The first end fitting also has a ground conductor for a ground signal. At least one elastic conductor is attached to the holder and is engaged laterally in a direction relative to the longitudinal passage. The at least one elastic conductor is disposed in electrical communication with the carrier and the ground signal to improve the grounding of the charge assembly and its components in the gun's carrier.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2024Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: SWM International, LLCInventors: Keith Nemez, Terrell C. Patent number: 12221864Abstract: A gun tube for a downhole perforating gun assembly includes a body having a cavity and one or more weights in the cavity. Gravity acts on the weights, which causes the tube body to rotate around its longitudinal axis so the weights are adjacent the lower part of the wellbore in which the gun assembly is positioned when oriented horizontally. This position shape charges in the gun tube in a desired position prior to the shape charges being fired. The gun tube may also include one or more end connectors with electrical contacts having a first, extended position, and a second, contracted position, and/or end connectors that can be assembled by hand without the use of tools.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2024Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: SWM INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: Dawna Mauldin, Sidney W. Patent number: 11867032Abstract: A downhole perforating gun system provides wireless electrical communication between an inner body conductor, a switch, a detonator, and a feedthrough. In this way, the construction of the perforating gun system is simplified and the assembly process is faster, more efficient, and more reliable.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2022Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: SWM INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: David C. Patent number: 11828115Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods useful for increasing the outer diameter of a tool string at a desired location in the tool string involve a spacer tool having a mandrel releasably engageable with at least one other tool of the tool string and a gauge ring distinct from and releasably, non-threadably engageable with the mandrel. The gauge ring extends radially outwardly from the mandrel to provide the spacer tool with a maximum outer diameter that is greater than the maximum outer diameter of at least one other tool in the tool string.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: SWM International, LLCInventors: Leslie Alan Thomas, Dan Salkhai Ang
