The first access point is further configured to transmit the first authentication information to the second access point via the network upon the authentication of the wireless terminal. The second access point is further configured to connect the wireless terminal with the network using the first authentication information.
Abstract: Red, blue and green lasers respectively emit a plurality of red, blue and green laser beams having respective output powers. The beams are optically focused and collinearly arranged to form a composite beam which is swept by a pair of scan mirrors in a pattern of scan lines on a projection surface, each scan line having a number of pixels. A controller causes selected pixels to be illuminated, and rendered visible, by the composite beam to produce an image. A safety circuit detects a malfunction of at least one of the lasers and the scan mirrors, and deenergizes the at least one of the lasers and the scan mirrors upon detection of the malfunction.

Abstract: An efficient multicamera imaging-based bar code reader for imaging a target bar code on a target object. An imaging system has a plurality of camera assemblies coupled to an image processing system. Each camera assembly includes a sensor array and an imaging lens assembly for focusing a field of view of the camera assembly onto a sensor array as well as including one or more light emitting diodes for illuminating a field of view of that camera assembly. One camera is activated or energized to detect an object and then all cameras are activated for generating images suitable to decode a bar code on the detected object.
Abstract: The antenna of an RFID tag is automatically tuned by controlling both the real and imaginary components impedance “seen” by the antenna. The real component (resistive) is controlled by controlling a tap of a charge pump circuit of the tag. The imaginary (reactive) component is controlled by connecting one or more reactive elements of an antenna tuning circuit to the antenna. The real component is controlled by a first digital control loop that automatically activates successive taps on a charge pump of the RFID tag which effectively controls the resistance seen by the antenna. A second digital control loop controls the connection of the various reactive components.
Abstract: A wireless data communications system includes simplified access points which are connected to ports of an intelligent switching hub. The switching hub relays data packets to the access points in accordance with destination address data in the data communications. In a preferred arrangement the access points are provided with power over the data cable from the switching hub location.
Abstract: A wearable terminal holder device includes a curved body, a first D-ring and a second D-ring. The curved body has a first side and a second side with a longitudinal axis bisecting the first and second sides. The first D-ring is pivotally coupled to the first side of the body. The second D-ring is pivotally coupled to the second side of the body.
Abstract: A system for a supplemental power source for a hand held portable electronic device is provided. A super capacitor is connected in parallel to a main battery of the portable electronic device. When the main battery becomes disconnected, the super capacitor is used to power the portable electronic device. The super capacitor is also used to provide compensation for the internal impedance of the main battery and the path impedance between the main battery and the load.
Abstract: Described is a system and method for optical character recognition in an image. The method comprising identifying a connected component in an image, computing at least one parameter for the connected component and selecting a portion of the image corresponding to the connected component for optical character recognition when the at least one parameter is within a predetermined threshold range.
Abstract: A mobile computing device that dynamically and automatically manages all network adapters on the device to obtain the best and most effective balance of network connectivity and power consumption without requiring operator or user application intervention. Performance is increased by lowering power consumption (longer battery life) and decreasing transaction latencies, providing a device that has flexibility and ease of use. According to one aspect is a system that includes a data analysis component that monitors parameters associated with a device and a mobility policy manager component that provides balance of network connectivity and power consumption based at least in part upon the monitored stimuli.

Abstract: A solid-state imager in a reader for electro-optically reading indicia located in a range of working distances includes an array of image sensors for capturing light from the indicia over a field of view during the reading. The range of working distances in which the indicia are read is varied, either automatically or manually.
Abstract: A multi-camera imaging-based scanner for imaging multiple target objects at substantially the same time and method is provided. The multi-camera imaging-based scanner comprises an image processing system with memory programmed to identify overlapping areas of field-of-views of the multiple cameras with in a scan field, such that if a target object is imaged by more than one camera at substantially the same time in one of the over lapping areas between two or more cameras' field-of-views, the processing system defines that a single target object has been detected and the decoded information therefrom is processed only once. If multiple target objects are imaged by more than one camera at substantially the same time outside of any of the over lapping areas between two or more cameras' field-of-views, the processing system defines that multiple target objects have been detected and the decoded information for each target object is processed.
Abstract: A method of connecting a client on a moving carrier wirelessly to any stationary access point in a list of stationary access points in a predetermined order. The method includes authenticating the client to a first stationary access point in the list of stationary access points. The method includes identifying the client as an authenticated client and informing other access points in the list of stationary access points with respect to the authenticated client. The method includes bypassing an authenticating process when establishing network connections between the authenticated client and one of the other stationary access points.
Abstract: A wireless local area network includes access ports which communicate over a wired network with wireless switches which control the access ports and bridge data between portals in the access ports and another network. Code for operating the access ports and for configuring the portals is separately downloaded from the wireless switch. Where an access port includes more than one portal, separate ethernet addresses are assigned to the processor of the access port and to the portals for communications with the wireless switch.
