Abstract: There is described a system for managing interactions between a plurality of devices selected from a group consisting of energy sources, energy loads and energy storage devices. The system includes a control bus, a power bus, a plurality of energy device interface and a power management unit. Each energy device interface comprises a control bus port, a power bus port and a device port for operatively connecting the energy device interface to a device and for controlling the device. The energy device interface is operatively connected to the control bus via the control bus port and to the power bus via the power bus port. The power management unit is operatively connected to the control bus and to the power bus and comprises a control strategy determining unit. The power management unit is adapted for controlling each energy device interface according to a determined control strategy.
