Abstract: A safe disposable syringe has a hollow barrel, a plunger, a needle hub with a needle and a safety device. The safety device includes a piston, a stub with a head and a hole defined in the needle hub. An oblique face is formed on the end of the piston. The stub extends out from the oblique face of the piston. The hole is defined in the needle hub and aligns with the stub. The needle hub with the needle will be pulled into the hollow barrel by the engagement of the stub and the hole. The needle will incline relative to the longitudinal axis of the barrel due to the oblique face of the piston. This can provide a safety feature to the disposable syringe. The process for manufacturing the disposable syringe can be simplified. This can decrease the cost for manufacturing the syringe.
