Abstract: A method of fabricating a wide bandgap device includes providing a thin native substrate. An epitaxial layer is grown on a surface of the native substrate. After growing the epitaxial layer, a handle substrate is attached to the opposite surface of the native substrate by way of an interface layer. With the handle substrate providing mechanical support, wide bandgap devices are fabricated in the epitaxial layer using a low-temperature fabrication process. The handle substrate is detached from the native substrate after fabrication of the wide bandgap devices.
Abstract: An illustrative data storage management system uses a control layer that controls information content presented to users and ensures information privacy between diverse tenants and/or resellers who share the system. The system populates a relationship database as transactions roll in (intake processing), and uses information in the relationship database later when processing responses (output processing). The relationship database comprises associations between e.g., a company ID and any number of entities that were created by or on behalf of the company or that are related to the company's service in the system. The control layer parses raw results that are responsive to requests for information and prevents others' information from being included in the responsive message(s). The techniques disclosed herein are not limited to shared systems managed by service providers, and may be implemented in fully owned and operated systems to add security and privacy among diverse users and/or departments.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices enable spectrum management by identifying, classifying, and cataloging signals of interest based on radio frequency measurements. In an embodiment, signals and the parameters of the signals may be identified and indications of available frequencies may be presented to a user. In another embodiment, the protocols of signals may also be identified. In a further embodiment, the modulation of signals, data types carried by the signals, and estimated signal origins may be identified.

Abstract: A novel converter circuit topology is disclosed. The converter circuit has a bridge circuit, a transformer, and a half-bridge current-doubler rectifier. An input end of the bridge circuit is connected to an input voltage node of the converter circuit. A reference end of the bridge circuit is connected to an output voltage node of the converter circuit. Opposing ends of a primary winding of the transformer are connected to bridge nodes of the bridge circuit. A secondary winding of the transformer serves as current-doubler inductors of the half-bridge current-doubler rectifier. A tap of the secondary winding is connected to the reference end of the bridge circuit.
Abstract: Fluidic systems and devices include at least one reaction channel, the at least one reaction channel comprising: a working electrode; a counter electrode disposed at a distance from the working electrode; and a channel electrically connected to both the working electrode and the counter electrode, wherein a voltage applied to the working electrode relative to the counter electrode will cause the solubility of the polysaccharide in the solution to change thereby modulating flow in, out or both of the channel.
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein reduce or eliminate a communication bottleneck at the storage manager by reducing communication with the storage manager while maintaining functionality of an information management system. In some implementations, a client obtains information for enabling a secondary storage job (e.g., a backup or restore) from a storage manager and stores the information (which may be referred to as job metadata) in a local cache. The client may then reuse the job metadata for multiple storage jobs reducing the frequency of communication with the storage manager. When a configuration of the information management system changes, or the availability of resources changes, the storage manager can push updates to the job metadata to the clients. Further, a client can periodically request updated job metadata from the storage manager ensuring that the client does not rely on out-of-date job metadata.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods to track an object in a scene even when the object is partially or wholly obscured by an artifact, such as another object. As the tracked object moves through the scene, frames of video are processed and used to refine and tune a diffusion model that predicts an appearance of the tracked object in future frames of the video as well as the appearance of artifacts in the frames of the video. Frames of the video may then be enhanced to illustrate the tracked object as if the tracked object were visible through the artifact.

Abstract: Embodiments determine event, e.g., performance degradation, security breach, etc., occurrence based on telemetry data. An embodiment receives telemetry data, e.g., data based on an HTTP transaction, and a rule associated with the telemetry data. The rule defines one or more filters for processing the telemetry data. In turn, a rule engine is modified in accordance with the received rule. The received telemetry data is processed with the modified rule engine to determine event occurrence.
