  • Publication number: 20210051849
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for processing harvest yield data includes the steps of receiving load data from a grain cart and receiving harvest yield data from a combine harvester. The load data and harvest yield data are post-processed to generate enhanced harvest yield data. The combine harvester and the grain cart can operate in an on-the-go unloading harvest operation or a stationary unloading harvest operation. Post-processing can include creating a field boundary for a harvest area, determining a start time and start position for the combine harvester within the field boundary, and determining an end time and end position for the combine harvester within the field boundary. The total grain yield weight estimated by a yield monitor can be calibrated to match the grain cart total scale weight.

  • Patent number: 10926698
Abstract: A steering wheel assembly (10) contains a dampening system for mitigating vibrations transferred from a vehicle to the steering wheel assembly (10). A plurality of damper spring elements or grommets or damper spring elements (22) are each retained within a corresponding steering wheel support member (330). An air bag module (14) is fixed to a steering wheel (18) while resting upon the damper spring elements (22) for eliminating and/or reducing lateral displacement/vibrations normally attendant to vehicle operation. A horn switch (16) containing a plurality of annular support members (76, 176) may be positioned over the damper spring elements (22), wherein each annular support member (76, 176) is coaxially aligned and positioned over a corresponding grommet (22) to also manage vertical displacement; the air bag module (14) is then fixed over the horn switch 16 and to the steering wheel (18). Movement of the airbag module can actuate the horn switch.

  • Patent number: 10932166
Abstract: Use of available bits in the TEID field of the GTP header to hold information needed to recreate at least a partial state of the session, enough for it to be routed, without waiting for a full state update. The GTP PDU contains the IP Payload with the source and destination IP addresses. The embodiments use that information and the coded TEID bits to provide sufficient routing information so that the packet can be routed without the full state. The TEID is coded to include bits identifying the APN and bits identifying the QCI of the session. A bit can be used to indicate drop if the full state not available. The remaining bits are used to identify unique user sessions. Some of the TEID bits can be encoded with the charging ID. Because sufficient routing information is provided in each packet, a backup gateway does not need to checkpoint.

  • Patent number: 10931204
Abstract: An isolated resonant converter has an analog comparator with hysteresis for generating a first ON/OFF signal, a digital isolator for outputting a second ON/OFF signal, an oscillator for providing a clock pulse signal with a frequency, and a primary pulse width modulator coupled to receive the clock pulse signal and the second ON/OFF signal. An output voltage of the isolated resonant converter is controlled by the analog comparator within a predefined range. The second ON/OFF signal is electrically isolated from the first ON/OFF signal. The primary pulse width modulator controls the switching of the isolated resonant converter in response to the clock pulse signal during the logic high state of the second ON/OFF signal and stops the switching of the isolated resonant converter during the logic low state of the second ON/OFF signal.

  • Patent number: 10931092
Abstract: A snow and ice melt system having one or more zones, each including one or more heaters, and having one or more controllers configured to use a power output of each heater and an average temperature of each zone to determine operational control of each heater to achieve a specified result. Hydronic or resistive heaters could be used. The controllers may be configured to use a system temperature response over time to determine if a phase change of the snow or ice is occurring. The phase change might indicate that snow or ice is present on a zone and is melting. Use of a first derivative of the system temperature response over time might determine a percentage of a zone covered by snow or ice. Use of a second derivative of the system temperature response over time might determine whether melting is complete.

  • Patent number: 10928293
Abstract: Provided herein is a particle analyzer that is operably connected to a probe unit that is capable of both dislodging particles from a surface and sampling the particles after they have been dislodged. The devices and methods described herein may be lightweight and/or handheld, for example, so that they may be used within a cleanroom environment to clean and sample permanent surfaces and tools. The devices may include optical particle counters that use scattered, obscured or emitted light to detect particles, including condensation particle counting systems or split detection optical particle counters to increase the sensitivity of the device and thereby facilitate detection of smaller particles, while avoiding the increased complexity typically required for the detection of nanoscale particles, such as particles less than 100 nm in effective diameter.

  • Patent number: 10926238
Abstract: An electrode assembly having a tubular support jacket that defines an internal compartment. The internal compartment is actively cooled by coolant. An electrode tip is coupled to the tubular support jacket. The electrode tip receives electricity through the tubular support jacket. An insulator construct surrounds at least part of the tubular support jacket. The insulator construct includes an insulation base, an insulation tube and an insulation cap. A gas supply conduit is interposed between the tubular support jacket and the insulation tube, wherein the gas supply conduit receives a working gas from a working gas supply. A thermally conductive casing surrounds at least part of the insulator construct. The thermally conductive casing is actively cooled. The thermally conductive casing actively cools the insulator construct, the underlying tubular support jacket, and thus the electrode tip. The active cooling reduces over-heating of the electrode tip and prevents excessive consumption and erosion.

  • Patent number: 10926103
Abstract: An energy degrading device for attenuating energy of a particle beam with reduced emittance growth. An energy degrader comprises an emittance control material that can preferentially scatter the beam particles that is incident on a surface with a shallow angle. In one approach, the energy degrader may include alternating layers of a low-Z and a high-Z material, wherein the low Z material serves to attenuate energy of the beam particles by virtue of scattering and the high Z material serves to suppress the emittance increase by scattering back the beam particles toward the beam axis. In another approach, the energy degrader may be composed of carbon nanotubes or a material with oriented crystalline structure that is substantially orientated in the incident direction of the particle beam. The carbon nanotubes may serve to preferentially scatter beam particles towards the central beam axis as well as attenuate energy thereof.

  • Patent number: 10929201
Abstract: A system and method for implementing a generation lock for protecting a data structure is provide. The systems and methods synchronizes read and write transactions for a protected data structure in a multitasking environment and provides low latency and improved scalability. For example, a system and method for implementing a generation lock for protecting a data structure may be provided. The generation lock provides an improved mechanism for restricting access to a data structure that is typically read more often than written. Specifically, the generation lock provides a method for reading and writing to a protected data structures that has a low average latency as compared to traditional read/write semaphores. The generation lock also provides a mechanism in which the system is scalable, meaning that the addition of additional processor cores is capable of increasing the performance, e.g., rate of executing requests, of the system, and is not or is not substantially rate limited by a shared resource.

  • Patent number: 10929344
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing file transfers across different domains hosted by a virtualization server are described herein. A trusted domain (Dom 0) may indicate that one or more files, directories, and/or volumes are available to a second domain (guest domain) by updating share information stored in a key value store. The guest domain may enumerate the shared files to appear as if within its own file system structure. The guest domain intercepts calls to its file system, determines whether the requested data is actually stored in its own file system or in trusted domain, and proxies the file system call to the trusted domain when the requested data is shared by the trusted domain. Key value store information and shared data information and contents may be communicated using one or more memories shared between the trusted domain and guest domain.
