Abstract: A copying machine group managing system comprises a plurality of copying machines, a plurality of terminal devices each provided for one of the copying machines and a central managing unit for managing the terminal devices. Each of the terminal devices receives first input signals each indicative of one of a plurality of users divisions of the copying machines and a second input signal indicative of a utilization value of associated one of the copying machines, whereby a second input signal is stored at predetermined storage locations of a terminal data memory in accordance with a first input signal and the stored data signal is transmitted to the central managing unit. The central managing unit receives the cumulatively stored data signals from each of the terminal devices so that the received data signals are summed up separately for each of the users divisions of the copying machines and are stored at the corresponding storage locations of a central data memory.
Abstract: A copying machine managing apparatus identifies information recorded on a plurality of using section magnetic cards and on an administrative department magnetic card. The plurality of using section magnetic cards are respectively assigned to using sections and bearing thereon respective using section codes. When one of the using section magnetic card is inserted in a slit of the copying machine managing apparatus, the using section code is identified and a copying machine associated therewith is made operable. The number copies produced by the particular using section is accumulated by a digital computer at each production of a copy and stored in an RAM. The accumulated number is at the same time indicated on an indicator window of the managing apparatus. When the administrative department magnetic card is inserted in the slit, the accumulated number of copies for each using section is successively read out from the RAM and indicated on the indicator window.
Abstract: A management system for a copying machine includes a detection circuit for determining whether the information representing a department of the user recorded on a magnetic card is properly read and for providing an operation signal to the copying machine to make it operable. A memory unit having a plurality of storage locations counts a pulse signal generated by the copying machine everytime a copy is produced and stores the date indicative of the total number of produced copies at a storage location assigned in accordance with the read-out information of a department. The total number of copies produced by each of different departments of users is displayed together with the indication of the department by a visual display unit.
