  • Patent number: 11347300
Abstract: Voltage regulators generate voltage rails that power a central processing unit (CPU). The CPU communicates power management instructions to a power supply controller that drives the voltage regulators. The power supply controller sets a voltage level of a voltage rail generated by a voltage regulator in accordance with a power management instruction received from the CPU. The power supply controller enables the voltage regulator to operate in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) independent of power state commands from the CPU.

  • Patent number: 11348755
Abstract: Presented systems and methods facilitate efficient and effective generation and delivery of radiation. A radiation generation system can comprise: a particle beam gun, a high energy dissipation anode target (HEDAT); and a liquid anode control component. In some embodiments, the particle beam gun generates an electron beam. The HEDAT includes a solid anode portion (HEDAT-SAP) and a liquid anode portion (HEDAT-LAP) that are configured to receive the electron beam, absorb energy from the electron beam, generate a radiation beam, and dissipate heat. The radiation beam can include photons that can have radiation characteristics (e.g., X-ray wavelength, ionizing capability, etc.). The liquid anode control component can control a liquid anode flow to the HEDAT. The HEDAT-SAP and HEDAT-LAP can cooperatively operate in radiation generation and their configuration can be selected based upon contribution of respective HEDAT-SAP and the HEDAT-LAP characteristics to radiation generation.

  • Patent number: 11349199
Abstract: An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a housing, a first feed portion, and a second feed portion. The housing includes a metallic side frame, a metallic middle frame, and a metallic back board. The metallic side frame defines first and second gaps and the metallic back board defines a slot. The slot, and the first and second gaps, create a first radiation portion from the metallic side frame. The first and second feed portions are both electrically connected to the first radiation portion. When the first feed portion feeds current, the current flows through the first radiation portion, toward the second gap to excite a GPS mode and a WIFI 2.4 GHz mode. When the second feed portion feeds current, the current flows through the first radiation portion, toward the first gap to excite a WIFI 5 GHz mode.

  • Patent number: 11347701
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods of migrating clients between databases with different schemas. A database migrator may identify a first database accessible by the client including a first data object maintained in accordance with a first schema. The database migrator may generate, using the first database, a second database including the first data object from the first database. The database migrator may store, onto the second database in accordance with a second schema, a second data object received by the first database subsequent to generation of the second database. The database migrator may convert the first data object of the second database from the first schema to the second schema. The database migrator may migrate the client from the first database to the second database responsive to the completion of storing and converting.

  • Patent number: 11347638
Abstract: This disclosure provides for host-controller cooperation in managing NAND flash memory. The controller maintains information for each erase unit which tracks memory usage. This information assists the host in making decisions about specific operations, for example, initiating garbage collection, space reclamation, wear leveling or other operations. For example, metadata can be provided to the host identifying whether each page of an erase unit has been released, and the host can specifically then command each of consolidation and erase using direct addressing. By redefining host-controller responsibilities in this manner, much of the overhead association with FTL functions can be substantially removed from the memory controller, with the host directly specifying physical addresses. This reduces performance unpredictability and overhead, thereby facilitating integration of solid state drives (SSDs) with other forms of storage.

  • Patent number: 11347656
Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques hierarchical address virtualization within a memory controller and configurable block device allocation. By performing address translation only at select hierarchical levels, a memory controller can be designed to have predictable I/O latency, with brief or otherwise negligible logical-to-physical address translation time. In one embodiment, address transition may be implemented entirely with logical gates and look-up tables of a memory controller integrated circuit, without requiring processor cycles. The disclosed virtualization scheme also provides for flexibility in customizing the configuration of virtual storage devices, to present nearly any desired configuration to a host or client.
