Abstract: A method for testing integrated circuit devices and loading such devices into a test board for further testing and an apparatus therefor is disclosed. The method allows for selection between two modes of operation. In a first mode, the integrated circuit devices are subjected to an electrical test before being placed into the test board for further testing. In a second mode, the integrated circuit devices are tested after being placed in the test board. The apparatus allows for the selection between the first mode and the second mode. In either mode, information about the tested devices and the sockets in the test board is used to load the test boards intelligently. Intelligent loading means that devices under test (DUTs) are not placed in bad sockets and devices that do test bad are removed from the test board, with an option of replacing the failed DUT with another DUT before subsequent environmental testing of the DUTs in the test board is carried out.

Abstract: A spinal fixation assembly and capless multi-axial screw system and method are shown. The assembly comprises a receiver having a rotary lock which in one embodiment includes a plurality of channels which urge and lock the elongated member to the screw using a bayonet type connection.
Abstract: An electrochemical cell having a membrane-electrode-assembly (MEA), a cell separator plate disposed on a side of the MEA and defining a flow field therebetween, a MEA support layer disposed adjacent the MEA within the flow field, and a MEA support layer stiffener disposed adjacent the support layer on a side opposite that of the MEA is disclosed. The support layer and stiffener are porous and electrically conductive, and the stiffener is mechanically and electrically bonded to the cell separator plate.
Abstract: A method executed on a server for unlocking digital content includes receiving a message corresponding to a request to access digital content embodied in digital readable form, associated with an electronic representation of a publication, sending a test that is based on the user having physical possession of the publication; receiving and evaluating an answer to the test to determine whether the correct answer was received; and if the answer was correct, providing access to the digital content associated with the electronic representation of the publication.
Abstract: Embodiments provide mechanisms and methods for configuring a messaging component of an application. These mechanisms and methods can enable embodiments to configure message objects, i.e., software objects relating to messaging, with the messages. The ability of embodiments to configure message objects with messages can enable application developers, for example, to package custom code, for example, as message objects combined with messages and/or parameters into an archive convenient for distributing to one or more servers, clients or other computational entities. The distributed archive can be readily accessed by these computational entities, enabling embodiments to achieve improved configuration of the messaging component of a distributed system.
Abstract: A method for verifying electronic circuit designs in anticipation of fabrication by compiling a hardware description to instructions for processors which are scalably interconnected to provide simulation and emulation, having deterministically scheduled transfer of circuit signal values among the large number of circuit evaluation processors and scheduled and assigned instructions to the processors in an optimal manner.

Abstract: Unlocking digital content embodied in digital readable form on a digital media carrier is described. Unlocking the digital content includes evaluating a code provided by a user scanning a tag attached to a printed, physical copy of the digital content; and if the code corresponds to an authorized code, unlocking the digital content.
Abstract: A system for detecting abnormal situations associated with a reactor in a process plant receives statistical data associated with pressure within a reactor vessel. For example, a pressure sensor device disposed at least partially within the reactor vessel may generate the statistical data based on a pressure signal. The statistical data is analyzed to detect whether one or more abnormal situations associated with an agitator of the reactor exist. For example, the statistical data may be analyzed to detect whether the agitator is no longer turning, is turning at a rate that is different than expected, is out of balance, is broken, etc. If an abnormal situation is detected, an indicator of the abnormal situation may be generated.
Abstract: The invention involves the usage of radio frequency, infrared, and low frequency radio frequency to accurately track transponders (tags) that are placed on objects. Transponders about the size of a small watch or a badge that can be worn on a lapel or pocket are used. The transponders are attached to staff, assets, and/or patients. Typically, ceiling mounted readers are used. The system utilizes the readers to triangulate the position of the transponders. The transponders can triangulate to a resolution accuracy of a couple of inches to 10 feet within 4 seconds. The system is also capable of triangulating the position of tags when they are lost to IR using RF. The system works with vector floor plans (AutoCAD or Microstation). This enables the system to function so that detail doesn't deteriorate even with large areas (100,000 square feet to unlimited miles). This enables accurate reading of room labels to quickly identify exact location of tags.
Abstract: Embodiments provide a capacitive voltage multiplier for efficiently producing multiples, including fractional multiples, of a power supply voltage use high, medium and low voltage field effect transistors for switching terminals of various capacitors into and out of connection with power supply or ground voltages in charge mode and with an output or other capacitor terminals for series connection in pump mode. A single non-overlapping clock is level-shifted up to the maximum voltage level required for switching to produce a desired output, then level shifted back down to lower levels with delay added as necessary according to embodiments.
