Abstract: Embodiments are described for distributed and scalable client-based storage management and microservices-based storage management, which can operate in combination. Embodiments distribute responsibilities and client-specific information needed for storage management jobs away from a central storage manager and its management database. New features and components minimize communications to/from the storage manager and ensure the integrity and synchronization of data being distributed. The management database at the storage manager retains its role as repository of information for the data storage management system as a whole, yet without being a bottleneck to storage operations. Improvements are implemented within the storage manager, through new functionality added to clients, and further through a new micro-server component interposed between storage manager and clients.

Abstract: A gemstone cleaning and analysis system and a method for cleaning and analyzing one or more gemstones using the system. The system includes a platform and an automated positioning system connected to the platform. The automated positioning system selects a gemstone from a plurality of gemstones, deposits the gemstone onto a cleaning stand connected to the platform, cleans at least one side of the gemstone by rubbing at least one side of the gemstone with at least one cleaning tool, and moves the gemstone to a gemstone imaging device connected to the platform. The gemstone imaging device has a plate, and the automated positioning system deposits the gemstone onto the plate. The gemstone imaging device identifies the gemstone. The automated positioning system moves the gemstone to a holding plate that is connected to the platform and deposits the gemstone at a particular location of the holding plate.

Abstract: The illustrative systems and methods consolidate storage-array command channels into a media agent that executes outside the production environment. A “snapshot-control media agent” (“snap-MA”) is configured on a secondary storage computing device that operates apart from client computing devices. A “forwarder” media agent operates on each client computing device that uses the storage array, yet lacks command channels to the storage array. Likewise, a “forwarder” proxy media agent may operate without command channels to the storage array. No third-party libraries or storage-array-command devices are installed or needed on the host computing device. The forwarder media agent forwards any commands directed at the storage array to the snap-MA on the secondary storage computing device. The snap-MA receives and processes commands directed at the storage array that were forwarded by the forwarder media agents. Responses from the storage array are transmitted to the respective forwarder media agent.

Abstract: An airbag cushion assembly (10, 100) has an airbag cushion (12) and an inflator (20, 120). The airbag cushion has a plurality of inflatable chambers including a primary chamber (11, 111) configured to receive inflation gas and one or more additional chambers (14, 16, 114, 115, 116) for receiving inflation gas from the primary chamber (11, 111). The inflator (20, 120) is in communication with, or open to, the gas inlet of the primary chamber (11, 111). One or more of the additional chambers has one or more one-way gas flow check valves (30, 130) for receiving inflation gases into the chamber and preventing the received gases from back flowing to maintain the one or more additional chambers at full inflation when the airbag cushion is inflated and loaded.

Abstract: A rotational atherectomy device may include a flexible, elongated, rotatable drive shaft with a system of eccentric abrading heads attached thereto. At least part of the eccentric enlarged abrading heads have a tissue removing surface—typically an abrasive surface. The abrading heads may be at least partially hollow. Preferably the eccentric enlarged abrading heads have centers of mass spaced radially from the rotational axis of the drive shaft, enabling the eccentric abrading heads to work together to open a stenotic lesion to a diameter substantially larger than the outer resting diameter of the enlarged abrading heads when operated at high speeds. The system of eccentric abrading heads may have unbalanced centers of mass to stimulate greater rotational diameters and may be arranged in a manner providing a debris-removing augering effect. Alternatively, a rotational atherectomy device may include a system of eccentric abrading heads with balanced centers of mass.

Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate an information management system to store sets of data, such as backup or secondary copies of production data, to cloud storage libraries in a format native to the cloud storage library are disclosed. The systems and methods create storage policies for the sets of data that identify the cloud storage libraries to which the sets of data are to be stored. Via the storage policies, one or more media agents or servers transfer data blocks of the sets of data to cloud storage SDKs associated with the cloud storage libraries. The cloud storage SDKs then add external metadata, such as metadata associated with a native format for the cloud library to the data blocks, before the data blocks are stored to the cloud storage library.

Abstract: An approach is described for a method, system, and product for generating radial bump patterns. According to some embodiments, the approach includes determining parameters for radial pattern generation in a precomputing phase, creating a radial pattern in a second stage, and generating a layout from the radial pattern in the second stage before manufacture a device embodying the radial pattern. In some embodiments, the radial pattern comprises rings having a number of rows where bump instances are placed and rotated such that they are perpendicular to a radius from a common center line. Furthermore, in some embodiments, the number of rows in a ring is generated pursuant to a set value or dynamically generate based on one or more optimization metrics.

Abstract: An oscillation limited driven steering track assembly includes a track mechanism coupled to and driven by a hydraulic motor. The motor is pivotally secured about a steering axis to a stub axle which partially supports a land vehicle. A longitudinally extensible and retractable apparatus extends between the track mechanism and the stub axle. One end of the apparatus is pivotally secured to a post secured to and extending from the track mechanism parallel with the motor shaft axis of rotation. A yoke is provided between the apparatus other end and pivotally secures the apparatus to the stub axle about the steering axis and, also, about a pivot axis perpendicular to the steering axis. Oscillation of the track mechanism about the motor shaft is limited by the apparatus. Simultaneously, the apparatus does not interfere with the track mechanism while the mechanism is rotated about the steering axis for steering the vehicle.

Abstract: A media presentation and distribution system communicatively coupled to a client device, which handles enablement of a client-side dynamic presentation of at least one non-programming media asset along with programming media content. The client device receives a first media stream of the programming media content in response to a request, associated with at least one user preference for the programming media content, to the media presentation and distribution system. The client device identifies at least one tag in the programming media content and transmits at least one event opportunity point for selection to the media presentation distribution system. Based on the selection, the client device modifies a display view of the client device for a defined duration, and presents the at least one non-programming media asset, from a second media stream for the defined duration, concurrently with the programming media content over the modified display view of the client device.

The beam-blocking leaves of the first type are alternatingly arranged with the beam-blocking leaves of the second type side by side. Each of the beam-blocking leaves of the first type has a trapezoidal geometry viewed in the leaf longitudinal moving direction comprising a wider end and a narrower end with the wider end being proximal to a source. Each of the beam-blocking leaves of the second type has a trapezoidal geometry viewed in the leaf longitudinal moving direction comprising a wider end and a narrower end with the wider end being distal to the source.

Abstract: Methods for the rapid detection of the presence or absence of Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2) in a biological or non-biological sample are described. The methods can include performing an amplifying step, a hybridizing step, and a detecting step. Furthermore, primers, probes targeting the genes for HSV-1 viral DNA polymerase B (HSV-1 Pol) and HSV-1 thymidine kinase C (HSV-1 TK), and also target the genes for HSV-2 thymidine kinase C (HSV-2 TK) and HSV-2 glycoprotein B (HSV-2 gB), along with kits are provided that are designed for the detection of HSV-1 and/or HSV-2.

Abstract: An adjustable support apparatus for a surgery table utilizing a platform having first and second end portions. First and second end supports are used to mount the platform which is adjusted by a carriage having a pawl operator. The carriage includes studs having support surfaces for the platform. A tower utilizing a gear rack interacts with the carriage pawl operator to position the platform relative to the first and second end support of the surgery table.

Abstract: According to certain aspects, a system may include a computing device configured to: intercept a request from a database application to read a portion of a database file, where a secondary copy of the database file resides on a secondary storage device(s) and is organized as a plurality of first blocks, wherein the request includes a database file offset(s) corresponding to the requested portion; and map the database file offset(s) to a subset of the first blocks that correspond to requested database object(s). The system may include a secondary storage controller computer(s) configured to: access a table that maps the plurality of first blocks to storage locations on the secondary storage device(s); using the table, locate and retrieve the subset of the first blocks on the secondary storage device(s); and forward the retrieved first blocks for storage in a primary storage device(s).

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a tester tests one or more DUTs by utilizing one or more respective reference devices. The tester comprises one or more test sites and one or more test circuits operatively coupled to each of the test sites. Each test site is configured to: hold a reference device and a DUT, transmit a transmitted electromagnetic RF signal including a test data pattern to the DUT, and receive a received electromagnetic RF signal emitted from the DUT. The test circuits are configured to: receive a first electrical signal converted from the received electromagnetic RF signal, extract first data from the first electrical signal, determine a first error rate between the test data pattern and the first data, and generate a test result on the basis of the first error rate.

The drive assembly includes a driver and a first member. The first connecting block connects to the driver, the driver can drive the first connecting block toward or away from the driver. The camera assembly comprises a camera bracket and a second connecting block connected to the camera bracket. The first connecting rod connects to the first and second connecting blocks, the first connecting block can drive the first connecting rod to move in a circular motion during the linear movement of the first connecting block, causing the camera bracket to be received in the body or deployed out.

Abstract: An antenna structure includes a housing and at least one switching circuit. The housing includes a border frame made of metal including at least one gap dividing the border frame into at least two radiating portions. The at least one switching circuit is mounted to the at least one gap and electrically coupled to the at least two radiating portions on opposite sides of the at least one switching circuit. The at least one switching circuit is controlled to switch between an open circuit state and a closed circuit state. A length of the at least two radiating portions is changed by the at least one switching circuit switched between the open circuit state and the closed circuit state to adjust a bandwidth of the antenna structure.

The present solution can return results based on a semantic analysis. The solutions described herein can provide high accuracy compared against the full-text or keyword-based retrieval algorithms. The solution can sort the results by semantic relevance based on the user's input search request. The present solution can provide meaningful results to the user even when the search text does not include the exact search keywords or phrases entered by the user.
