Abstract: The approved email generation system described is capable of producing email communications between user and customer by using approved email templates and content that have been aligned with customer information regarding access to such content. Once the approved email has been generated, the content may be verified again for accuracy and validity before being delivered to the customer. When the customer accesses delivered content, the approved email generation system again verifies the content and allows the customer access to only the most current version of the content available. The system provides for control of the content of electronic communications to customers.

Abstract: The present embodiments are generally directed to electronic circuit design and verification and more particularly to techniques for characterizing electronic components within an electronic circuit design for use in verification. In one or more embodiments, an adaptive sensitivity based analysis is used to build an adaptive equation to represent the timing response surface for an electronic component. With the adaptive surface response built, a sample-based evaluation yields highly accurate extraction of electronic component timing parameters including on-chip variation information such as sigma and moments.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a distributed data center that includes resources carried by a fleet of vehicles. Individual vehicles carry sensors configured to generate output signals conveying information related to the vehicles and/or the surroundings of the vehicles. The system includes a remote computing server configured to obtain executable code from a user, and subsequently transmit the executable code to individual vehicles in the fleet. Individual vehicles locally execute the executable code to produce local results, and subsequently transfer the results to the remote computing server for presentation to the user.

Abstract: Systems according to the present disclosure provide one or more surfaces that function as heat or power radiating surfaces for which at least a portion of the radiating surface includes or is composed of “fractal cells” placed sufficiently closed close together to one another so that a surface (plasmonic) wave causes near replication of current present in one fractal cell in an adjacent fractal cell. A fractal of such a fractal cell can be of any suitable fractal shape and may have two or more iterations. The fractal cells may lie on a flat or curved sheet or layer and be composed in layers for wide bandwidth or multibandwidth transmission. The area of a surface and its number of fractals determines the gain relative to a single fractal cell. The boundary edges of the surface may be terminated resistively so as to not degrade the cell performance at the edges.

Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering a secure document with a text selection capability. The methods comprise: performing first operations, by a computing device, to determine which objects of a source document are non-text objects; creating, by the computing device, an image file representing a graphic consisting of the non-text objects of the source document and a watermark merged together as a single image; drawing the graphic represented by the image file to a base document having a first file format different than a second file format of the source document; and drawing text objects to the base document from the source document so as to create the secure document with the text selection capability.
Abstract: A resource allocation system begins with an ordered plan for matching requests to resources that is sorted by priority. The resource allocation system optimizes the plan by determining those requests in the plan that will fail if performed. The resource allocation system removes or defers the determined requests. In addition, when a request that is performed fails, the resource allocation system may remove requests that require similar resources from the plan. Moreover, when resources are released by a request, the resource allocation system may place the resources in a temporary holding area until the resource allocation returns to the top of the ordered plan so that lower priority requests that are lower in the plan do not take resources that are needed by waiting higher priority requests higher in the plan.

Abstract: Apparatus and related methods are provided for automatically recalibrating a SAW scale for changing environmental factors. During a period of time when there is no change to a weight applied to the scale, readings of SAW transducers which relate to weight indications and environmental factor indications are taken for two adjacent operating modes of the scale, and two calibrated weight calculations are made utilizing those readings. The difference in calibrated weight calculations is then related to a variable utilized to transform the readings into weights, which is updated, thereby recalibrating the scale.
Abstract: A computer implemented method of determining a resultant treatment plan for a proton radiation therapy system based on given dose volume constraints, wherein the resultant treatment plan is optimized for treatment time comprises accessing the dose volume constraints and range information, wherein the range information indicates acceptable deviations from the dose volume constraints. Based on the proton radiation therapy system, the method further comprises accessing machine configuration information comprising a plurality of machine parameters that define a maximum resolution achievable in irradiating a patient. Further, the method comprises iteratively adjusting the plurality of machine parameters to values which decrease the maximum resolution and simulating a plurality of candidate treatment plans to generate a plurality of treatment plan results, wherein each treatment plan result comprises: a respective treatment time and a respective plan quality.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to cloud-based data synchronization. Two or more devices associated with an account in a cloud can be synched. The account is configured to manage publishing and subscription relationships between these devices such that a first device is able to publish data to the account in the cloud, and a second device is able to subscribe to the data from the account. In some embodiments, the account is configured to determine whether the second device has proper dependencies for subscribing to the data, and to prevent the second device from subscribing to the data upon determining that the second device does not have proper dependencies. However, in some embodiments, proper dependencies are automatically satisfied by downloading and installing a tool configured to properly process the data (e.g., execute applications) on the second device.

Abstract: In a strain wave gearing, the addendum tooth profile of an internal gear is defined by the formula a and that of an external gear is by the formula b at a principal cross-section located at a tooth-trace-direction center of the external gear, on the basis of a movement locus (Mc) of ?=1 of the teeth of the external gear with respect to those of the internal gear in the principle cross-section taken at the center of the tooth trace of the external gear obtained when the tooth meshing is approximated by rack meshing. It is possible to avoid superimposition of flexion-induced bending stresses and tensile stresses caused by load torque at the major-axis locations of the external gear, and the transmission torque capacity of a strain wave gearing can be improved.

Abstract: An event-driven simulation system is provided. The simulation system classifies events into bypass-events and perform-events. The simulation system performs simulation by executing instructions based on the perform-events and skips simulation for the bypass-events. The simulation system produces partial simulation result data based events that are actually simulated but not the events that are skipped. A post processor is provided to generate the missing simulation result data for the bypass-events and to merge the bypass-event with the partial simulation result to generate a complete simulation result.
