Abstract: A clip-on module having a specialized housing design, probe contacts, switches, various advertising modes, and various configurations of signal repeaters is disclosed. The module is utilized via attachment to a specialized garment worn by a human patient. To properly apply the housing to the garment, a user will squeeze the module to open using tactile features embedded within the housing, locate the module, and then press-clamp the module to close and attach it. A plurality of probe contacts within the module have sharpness requirements for penetrating one or more layers of the garment while still maintaining low resistance, and will work with a backing material for probe.

A resistor is electrically coupled to at least one of the first and second sets of solid state light sources. Control circuitry is operably coupled to control a resistance electrically coupled in series with said at least one of the first set and the second set of solid state light sources to adjust a respective current therethrough and thereby dim said at least one of the first set and the second set of solid state light sources while maintaining the respective forward voltage drops.
Abstract: Lighting control systems are disclosed, which are configured to detect a rate at which a total current from a current driver is being changed. The total current is an amount of current for a plurality of LED channels comprising a first LED channel and a second LED channel. The systems are also configured to control a first current to the first LED channel and a second current to the second LED channel, the first current and the second current each being a portion of the total current. The controlling comprises: when the rate is detected as being a first slope, changing a ratio of the second current to the first current; and when the rate is detected as being a second slope different from the first slope, keeping the ratio constant while the total current is adjusted according to the dimmer control.

The multiple windshield wiper assembly may comprise a first wiper assembly having a squeegee blade; a second wiper assembly having a scraper blade, the second wiper assembly being coupled to the first wiper assembly by a windshield wiper assembly connector; wherein the scraper blade comprises an attachment surface for engaging a wiper assembly, a scraper surface for engaging a windshield, a channel for conducting wiper fluid, a plurality of apertures for disbursement of the wiper fluid onto a windshield, and a water connection fitting for connection of the scraper blade to a vehicle water supply hose. A number of embodiments of a windshield wiper assembly connector for use in connecting one or more windshield wiper assemblies to pin-type and hookslot-type wiper arms are also disclosed.
Abstract: An absorbent apparatus is provided for an air dryer purge air cleaner. The absorbent apparatus comprises a volume for containing absorbent material. The absorbent apparatus also comprises absorbent material that is both oleophilic and hydrophobic and is packed in the volume to provide a packed bed of absorbent material with a predetermined packing density. The packing of the material provides for a first and second flow path of an effluent stream through the absorbent material.
Abstract: A satellite telecommunication system includes a satellite and multiple computing devices. One computing device is in communication with the satellite and programmed to generate a virtual local area network (VLAN) packet with a VLAN tag and transmit the VLAN packet to the satellite. Another computing device is in communication with the satellite and programmed to receive the VLAN packet, determine VLAN tag information from the VLAN tag, and forward at least the original packet while preserving VLAN tag information associated with the VLAN tag.
Abstract: A permanent magnet generator, includes a cylindrical rotor assembly having a set of circumferentially-spaced permanent magnets arranged at an outer radius of the rotor assembly, and spaced from one another by non-magnetic spacing element, and a stator assembly configured to coaxially receive the rotor assembly. The stator assembly includes a cylindrical stator core, a circumferentially spaced set of posts extending from the stator core and defining a set of stator slots between adjacent posts, and a set of conductive windings wound about the stator slots.
Abstract: A urodynamic investigation apparatus for receipt of urine from a bladder is provided. The apparatus is characterized by a tubular element, first and second fittings, and a sleeve element, for select passage of urine there through, within the tubular element. The tubular element is characterized by opposing first and second end portions, and a port. The fittings are adapted to be received by the opposing end portions of the tubular element so as to delimit an apparatus chamber. The sleeve element, suspended between the fittings within the chamber, has collapsed and open configurations. The collapsed configuration is indicative of a no urine flow condition, and the open configuration indicative of a urine flow condition, with the sleeve element urine flow condition being a function of pressure applied to the chamber via the port of the tubular element.
Abstract: A building intelligence gathering, assessment and decision-support system including a GPS system deployed about the Earth and supporting a plurality of GPS satellites for transmitting GPS signals to the surface of the Earth. A building data sensor network, including a plurality of GPS-tracked rooftop-mounted sensors, are mounted on the rooftop surface of the building, and adapted for collecting GPS-indexed data specifying conditions on the rooftop surface at particular dates and times of the year. The building rooftop conditions includes one or more conditions selected from the group consisting of snow load conditions, windspeed and direction, and temperature. The system also includes one or more hand-held mobile augmented-reality (AR) based rooftop navigation and inspection devices, each configured for communication with communication servers within a data center over a wireless data communication network.
Abstract: Rotary in-line pumps as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions that arise from flow of certain types of materials through a material flow conduit. Such rotary in-line pumps provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile such as, for example, increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated slugging and the like.
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a trailer parking brake status indicator in a tractor is provided that allow an operator to deactivate the indicator when the tractor is operating without a trailer using a pre-existing operator interface. The apparatus includes means for determining whether a trailer is coupled to the tractor and a controller configured to execute, when a determination whether the trailer is coupled to the tractor cannot be made, a process for controlling activation and deactivation of the indicator. The process includes determining whether a speed of the tractor meets a predetermined condition relative to a predetermined speed. The process further includes monitoring, after determining that the speed of the tractor meets the predetermined condition relative to the predetermined speed, for an activation command to activate a parking brake on the trailer. The process further includes deactivating the trailer parking brake status indicator responsive to the activation command.

Abstract: An apparatus determining characteristics of radios within a communications network includes a radio, RF signal sensor, analyzer, and computer. The radio transmits RF signals, has transmission operating parameters with respective predetermined values having respective thresholds and a identifier, and has an air operating mode where signals comprise the identifier. The sensor receives the signals having characteristics correlating with the operating parameters. While the signals are received during the operating mode, the analyzer measures the signal characteristics and determines health of the radio by analyzing whether the measured characteristics transmitted are within the respective thresholds of the values, and concludes that health is acceptable if the measured characteristics are within the thresholds, and concludes that health is unacceptable if at least one measured characteristic is outside a threshold.
