Abstract: A system for scheduling prioritized traffic in a scrambled and coded multiple access (SCMA) system multiple terminals and a gateway. Each terminal is configured to receive packets from user devices and place the packets on various input queues. The packets are en-queued onto a plurality of output queues based on priority or service class. The terminal is further configured to detect one or more available SCMA slots within a frame of a communication system, and de-queue packets from the highest priority output queue onto the frame via one or more SCMA bursts. The terminal includes transceiver for transmitting/receiving frames of the communication system to/from the gateway. The terminals autonomously transmit SCMA bursts relative to each other.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for machine learning models for adjusting communication parameters. In some implementations, data for each terminal in a set of multiple satellite terminals is obtained. A machine learning model is trained based on the obtained data. The model can be trained to receive an indication of a geographic location and predict a satellite beam capable of providing at least a minimum level of efficiency for communication at the geographic location. After training the machine learning model, an indication of a predicted satellite beam for a particular location is generated for a particular geographic location. A determination is then made whether to change the current satellite beam for a terminal at the particular geographic location based on the predicted satellite beam.

Abstract: A system and method for assembling and using a map supports advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on a host vehicle. The map indicates which roadway segments can support automated driving. The map may also indicate which vehicle sensor signal interpretation and vehicle control algorithms shall be used on those segments. The map may be assembled on a host vehicle, transmitted to a server and collated with maps from other vehicles equipped with ADAS. The host vehicle may download the other maps from the server for use in locations where the driver assistance sensor input from the host vehicle may not be dependable.
