Abstract: The disclosure provides devices and methods of use pertaining to intra joint stabilization. Embodiments include a number of suture returning and suture locking anchors that feature elongated sleeves configured to protect the associated bone tunnels from suture wipering, which results in abrasion and enlargement of the bone tunnel and leads to migration of the suture anchors. Embodiments also include suture locking anchors that lock via an interference fit between the suture strand and a receiver of the anchor and a set screw, where the receiver and the set screw each feature a number of gradual, opposing tapers to facilitate gradual proximal-to-distal gripping and releasing of the suture strand to achieve an optimal locking force while preventing severing of the suture strand. Further embodiments include intra joint reinforcement and stabilization constructs formed using the disclosed devices. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200270943
Abstract: A desired range of lift force to raise a window shade is used to select the window shade hardware such as, for example, the optimal LAM. A desired lift force may be 5 pounds for ADA compliance. However, if the user wants to exert less effort to lift the window shade, the user may request an increased lift force of 6 or 7 pounds. Therefore, if a lift force range between 3-8.5 pounds is desired, the system selects the optimal LAM to maintain and guarantee that the lift force required to operate the shades will not exceed the desired range of between 3-8.5 pounds.

  • Patent number: 10755121
Abstract: A driving oriented digital video recorder (DVR) system may comprise a camera; a memory; and a control circuit. The occurrence of a predefined driving event type may be determined based on received data. An event object that includes details of the determined event may be generated, including the type of the determined event and a time association with a segment of captured driving video. Metadata tags may be generated, which contain the type of the determined event and the location of the event object in the memory of the DVR. The DVR may retrieve segments of the driving video by identifying the metadata tag as having the same event type as a query parameter and, in turn, identify the event object using the location of the event object included in the metadata tag. The driving video segment may then be located via the association with the event object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing access to vehicle videos are provided. An example system may include a plurality of cameras and an electronic device associated with a vehicle. The electronic device can continuously record a plurality of videos captured by the plurality of cameras, periodically generate, based on the plurality of videos, snapshot images including image metadata, and upload the snapshot images to a remote computing system. The remote computing system can render the snapshot images for view and selection by a user and receive, from the user, a selection of a snapshot image of the snapshot images. In response to the user selection, the remote computing system can select, based on the image metadata associated with the selected snapshot image, a video from the plurality of videos and play back a portion of the video stored on the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10756984
Abstract: A method for managing VLAN configurations on a network device includes connecting, by a client, to the network device. The method then includes presenting, by the client, a graphical user interface of the network device to a user of the client. The graphical user interface comprises a first area displaying a plurality of ports of the network device and a second area displaying a configuration interface. The configuration interface enables the user to make a VLAN assignment for each of the plurality of ports. Both the first area and the second area are displayed on one page in the graphical user interface. The method then includes accepting, through the graphical user interface, user instructions for making the VLAN assignment. The method then includes transmitting, by the client, a signal to the network device, the signal encoding the user instructions and enabling the network device to make the VLAN assignment.

  • Patent number: 10755520
Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, an RFID-enabled table game system provides for determining whether there is a variance between an expected balance of inventory and an actual balance of inventory in a game element container. If a variance is detected, the RFID-enabled game system may identify at least one characteristic associated with an RFID-enabled game element that is determined to be a source of the variance (e.g., a player position at which the RFID-enabled game element had last been detected, a denomination or value of the game element, and/or an identifier associated with the game element). In some embodiments, an alert may be output to game provider personnel (e.g., a dealer of a card game) at the end of a game play when such a variance is detected, thus allowing the variance to be corrected in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Publication number: 20200261099
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods for a tourniquet system compression device. The compression device includes a spooling mechanism, a ratchet release, a safety release, and a profile surface. The spooling mechanism includes a first side loading configured to receive a first tourniquet strap, and a second side loading slot configured to receive a second tourniquet strap. The ratchet release disengages a ratchet gear from a pawl. The safety release prevents the ratchet gear from disengaging with the pawl when the safety release is active. The profile surface generates a pressure profile against a subject. The compression device includes a fixed end of webbing. The compression device is coupled to the webbing. The spooling mechanism is configured to gather the webbing. The compression device includes a preset pressure profile. The compression device includes a fixed end fitting. The compression device is configured for side entry loading of the webbing.

  • Publication number: 20200263712
Abstract: Material flow amplifiers as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions (e.g., surface erosion and head losses) that arise from flow of certain types of materials (e.g., fluids, slurries, particulates, flowable aggregate, and the like) through a material flow conduit. Such material flow amplifiers provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile (e.g., increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated slugging and the like).
