Abstract: A method of allowing a work-piece to obtain its free state shape while bonded to an adhesive fixture includes allowing the fixing surfaces to change shape or position relative to a fixture base without degrading the holding strength of the adhesive joints. A floating adhesive fixture may use one or more floating adhesive fixture devices. Each device includes a fixture element with an integral fixing surface that can displace relative to the fixture, a clamping system that can release or prevent this motion, and a suspension that keeps the fixture element in a nominal position when the clamping system is disengaged. A method includes unclamping the fixture elements and allowing them to displace as the adhesive joints and work-piece reduce strain energy. The clamping of the fixture elements prepares the fixture for the ensuing manufacturing process.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for bonding of satellite terminals. In some implementations, a first satellite terminal with a first satellite communication link determines that it is in communication with a second satellite terminal that has a second satellite communication link. The first satellite terminal receives packet data from a data source and selects first packet data for transmission over the first satellite communication link and second packet data for transmission over the second satellite communication link. The first satellite terminal transmits the first packet data over the first satellite communication link, and provides the second packet data to the second satellite terminal for transmission over the second satellite communication link.

Abstract: A physical medicine table for treating a patient's spine that is capable of providing precise, repeatable, and effective traction force treatment to a patient in multiple dimensions to adjust an unhealthy spinal structure towards a normal, healthy structure. Generally, the spinal structure treatment can be applied to a patient using the described traction device to secure the patient to the adjustable support portions and selectively impart a combination of longitudinal Y-axis traction forces, lateral X-axis traction forces and/or sagittal Z-axis traction forces to the patient using a control system in accordance with a prescribed treatment regimen.
Abstract: A camera controller for selectively controlling illumination around a vehicle comprises an image capture portion having a viewing area; an output for transmitting lighting control messages; and control logic. The control logic determines that a change in illumination is necessary in the viewing area and transmits a lighting control message at the output in response to the determination that illumination change is necessary. The lighting control message directs at least one lighting source associated with the vehicle in the viewing area of the camera controller to be adjusted.
Abstract: A system and method for carrying Voice over LTE network (VoLTE) is described. The method includes: providing a dedicated channel between a user terminal and a gateway; associating the dedicated channel of a voice communication with a header context; receiving a packet comprising a voice payload of the voice communication over the dedicated channel, wherein the packet does not include the header context; selecting an associated header context based on the dedicated channel; generating a header based on the header context; and sending an IP standard packet comprising the header and the voice payload to a terrestrial network device. Another method receives a voice payload with a header and forwards the voice payload without the header over a dedicated channel associated with information in the header.
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a time of a passing at a reference line of an RFID tag traveling along a route and a time of lapsing of the tracked RFID tag on the route, the system have a plurality of spaced apart tag reader systems for wirelessly obtaining tag reads, wherein at least one of the tag reader systems is space apart from the reference line. The timing system receives a plurality of tag reads and determines the time of passing of the RFID at the reference line responsive to the plurality of received tag read messages received from the plurality of tag reader systems.
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating skin and subcutaneous tissue with energy such as ultrasound energy are disclosed. In various embodiments, ultrasound energy is applied at a region of interest to affect tissue by cutting, ablating, micro-ablating, coagulating, or otherwise affecting the subcutaneous tissue to conduct numerous procedures that are traditionally done invasively in a non-invasive manner. Lifting sagging tissue on a face, neck, and/or body are described. Treatment with heat is provided in several embodiments.

Abstract: A valve module is provided for enabling a vehicle to control an autonomous event of the vehicle. The valve module comprises a relay valve, a first solenoid valve, and a second solenoid valve. A first control pressure can be delivered through the first solenoid valve and applied to a control port of the relay valve. In one embodiment, a second control pressure can be delivered through the second solenoid valve and combined with the first control pressure. The combined first and second control pressures are applied to the control port of the relay valve.
Abstract: A brake drum usable in a vehicle includes a substantially cylindrical wall having an end surface at one axial end thereof, with the substantially cylindrical wall defining a radially inwardly facing wear surface to be engaged by a friction lining upon brake actuation during operation of the vehicle. A radially extending drum section is joined by way of a corner section to another axial end of the substantially cylindrical wall and, together with the substantially cylindrical wall and the corner section, forms a drum interior volume. To provide for discharge of particles from the drum interior volume, the substantially cylindrical wall has a circumferentially extending cut away section in the wear surface located adjacent to the one axial wall end.
Abstract: Systems and method for creating and utilizing a virtual 360-degree view of a telecommunications site include capturing first data of a 360-degree view at multiple points around the telecommunications site; capturing second data of a 360-degree view at aerial points above the telecommunications site; capturing third data of a 360-degree view inside a shelter or cabinet at the telecommunications site, wherein each of the first data, second data, and third data comprise one or more of photos and video; stitching the first data, the second data, and the third data together with links to create a virtual 360-degree view environment of the telecommunications site, wherein the links enable virtual navigation about the telecommunications site; and displaying the virtual 360-degree view environment to a viewer over a network and adjusting the virtual 360-degree view environment based on commands received from the viewer.

Abstract: Motor housings and shrouds are detailed. Inlets of the shrouds may be included on any or all portions of their peripheries (as well as on rears of shrouds if desired). Air hence need not necessarily be drawn wholly linearly into the shrouds, permitting the shrouds to abut, or at least be closely proximate, other objects without materially diminishing air flow into the shrouds. Moreover, plates within the shrouds may be positioned so as to create torturous paths through which the air must travel. Channeling air through these torturous paths helps reduce noise as the air moves to the fans.
Abstract: Systems and method are disclosed and among these is a method for mitigation of interference local to remote terminals, and it can include detecting reception of a packet having one of the remote terminals as a destination terminal and, in response, selecting a sub-carrier among the sub-carriers that are not identified as receiving local interference at the destination terminal, and loading, into a queue for the selected sub-carrier, a coded data from which a content of the packet can be derived, and transmitting the queued coded data on the selected sub-carrier. Among disclosed features is a receiving of an interference report that carries an information indicative of a new local interference and, in response, updating the data identifying sub-carriers having local interference at the destination terminal.
Abstract: A handheld smart phone includes programming for performing various vision-related tests. The smart phone includes a touch sensitive screen, microphone, speaker, other sensors, processor and persistent storage for execution of software, multiple communications network interfaces and other device interfaces. The display delivers vision tests and, together with the speaker, related audio instructions to a user. The user interacts with the vision tests by using tactile and audio commands to the device screen and microphone. The test results are assembled into a report that can be transmitted to persons of the user's choice, such as a care provider. Abstract: A security patrol guidance system and method configured to automatically and dynamically identify patrol areas within a geospatial boundary and notify the security guards of said areas. The system and method considers recent security alerts, non-visible areas, and SMP operator identified patrol areas in view of the current locations of each security guard to create a patrol list. The patrol list includes areas deemed to be at risk of future security event and the system instructs security guards to patrol said areas at certain intervals. The system is constantly updating to ensure that a desired level of security is achieved at all times.
Abstract: A training system has one or more displays that simulate or mimic rear view mirrors, showing, for example, what is visible behind the simulated vehicle. The training system includes sensors, software, and related hardware for determining a position of a trainee's head within the simulated vehicle and calculating a viewing angle and/or distance between the trainee's eye(s) and the rear view mirrors.
